  • what is the meaning of L.H.S..??

  • nice equal sign i guess.

  • solve tan2x=2sinxcosx/1-2sin^2x. The ^2 is sqaured

  • Wtf is up with the dramatic music?

  • explain w/ words please

  • are we related? pollard

  • this is one of the questions i was trying to prove.

  • This is the worst topic in trigonometry in my engineering class. Darn it! This topic gave me two consecutive zeros in my quiz! This needs lots of algebra basics.

  • Please me help me!!! Could you please prove this one? this will be passed on monday..huhu,,a little help would be appreiated,;)))

    cosX/sin^2X-cosXcot^2X= cotXsinX

  • Dont get it. Horrible.

  • @anthonyfoots If you don't get it then you must have some sort of learning disability.

  • why the sad music?

  • @MyGummybear007 cause is math :(

  • @chompa12 lol okie!

  • @headoverseer lmao!!!!! made me laugh irl.

  • you sir, are a life saver

  • i have a test on monday and i don't know how to thank you enough............ :D

  • @NMelvynN : Glad to help. Good luck for that test!!

  • @pollardrho06 :D thanks mate.. i have (cscx /1+cscx) + (cscx /1-cscx) = 2sinx/cos2x

the 2 is squared yeh. and so how do i prove that one? it's prolly a really easy one but for me it is confusing right now, can u help me on that in an inbox? pleaseeee :) only if ur not busy tho :D

  • @NMelvynN : Sure, np.. I'm a little caught up at the moment but later today will inbox you the solution to your problem.. don't worry.. will be before your test. Thanks for subbing.. But a hint is.. try writing csc x as 1 / sinx and play with sines and cosines to match your right hand side..

  • @NMelvynN thanks :D

  • thankyou soo much! This helped a lot! :D

  • great video my ass, hes not even talking

  • Watching this high... = Holy motha

Even though I know this is simple math, there's something about this vid that blew my mind.

  • Watching this high... = Holy motha.

  • why is it that

    =cos y (1+sin y) / 1 squared - sin squared y

    become

    =cos y(1+sin y)/ cos squared y

why is the "1 squared - sin squared y" become "cos squared y"

  • @abrarockers its one of the Pythagorean identities

  • i thought you wrote "pwned" when you finished :P

  • @SumGuyOnTheInternet That would have been funny if he put "pwned" at the end... hehe.

  • It was a bit fast but the music was great and it did help!

  • Please, more proving qns. Thanks

  • can u do sinx+1/sinx-1 = 1+2cscx +csc^2x/ 1- csc^2? thanks

  • Nice work with the marker....its late and I'm cramming. I watched this video early on and it moved too fast, by the end of my studies I was on point. The music is pretty sweet too.

  • Great video.. I have a test on this the day after tomorrow, so confusing to me :(

  • good video, but why do you use the SL symbol for a biconditional in place of an equal sign?

  • Step by step narration would of been nice but still helpful.

  • hey very nice videos, u made it looked so easy but i still cnt answer the qs my tchr gave me o_O" i hope i get the hang of it sooner or later, ur video did help though.

  • good video

  • Thanks.

  • Love the music and love the math!

  • Thanks for watching and the appreciation. Enjoy!

  • uhm.. from the very beginning.. can we first cross multiply both sides.. then we can get cos^2y at both sides.. can it be??..

  • You can do that but it won't help you in proving what is required... with these things you have to try a bunch of things before you get the right one... trial and error as they say... with practice it'll come naturally...

  • Thank you this helps me understand som of my hw probs.!!!!

  • You're very welcome. Glad it helps. If you have any problems you'd like to see solved please post them...

  • Also, try writing it all out once or twice on your own. It'll make sense. In order to minimize video time I skip a few elementary steps...

  • can u at least explain what your proving...

at 0:44 how come you came up with 1+siny

    how did you do it??

at 1:10 why did the 1 disappear???

    can you explain plz

  • "at 0:44 how come you came up with 1+siny"

Multiplying and dividing by 1 + sin y is among one of the oldest tricks in the book.

1 + siny is the conjugate of 1 - siny.

After Multiplying and dividing by 1 + sin y we can get the square of cosine and use one of the standard identities... etc...

  • "at 1:10 why did the 1 disappear???"

The 1 disappeared because I used the identity...

    1 - (sin^2)y = (cos^2)y

    Another standard trig identity...

    Better remembered as:

    (sin^2)y + (cos^2)y = 1
