  • wot a classic band - highly underrated

  • 2 days ago the great Micky Jones passed away. About 5 years ago I saw Micky & the rest of Man play at the Coventry Jazz festival. Micky provided a vituoso guitar performance that day that will live long in the memory. George seen playing here also was wonderful on the day along with Bob and Ace. Keep the legacy going boys

  • It is vvery strange that back in the 70's Man were referred to as the British version of the Allman Brothers ...... now many years later both bands are still going - thanks to various sons stepping in.

  • I absolutely love Man. But....this version of C'mon is a pale shadow of the amazing version on the Be Good To Yourself live album from the 1970s. I really miss Phil Ryan's keyboards.. this song *NEEDS* that Minimoog and Hammond.

  • @bloggulator Tottaly agree with you my friend. Phil's magical sounds are missing . R.I.P. Mick. With all respect to his son, There will never be another like his dad.

  • Man just a few months ago i discovered with a lot of pleasure that they're still here.Iknew in 75.I could'nt in the eighties in France, buy any record of them.WHAT A PLEASURE BROTHERS.DENIS

  • One of the Trilogy. C'mon, Bananas and Spunk Rock. This is MUSIC! Not the garbage (with the odd exception) that has been churned out in the last 20 years. MAN rocks the Kingdom!

  • oh by the way i hope martin enjoyed the tom petty tape "echoes"by tom petty back when they played at the rayners hotel pub nice to see and chat with deke and the boys...

  • well where do we start.......ithink the way it all slows and empties and gets hypnotic with a touch of acid suits my liking rock on you fuckers x . its lovely to hear empty ...see you on the gower x

  • Interesting to see them again but they aren't what they were. vocals are poor and all of the tempos are too quick. They were, in my opinion, great for their persistent laid back tempos and very very tight. That's gone. I loved them from the early 70's on until about the 1980's. Saw them live loads of times.

  • ha ha bob was my drum teacher when i was bout 16

  • Man......best band in the world.

  • Absolutely Brilliant ,,, real live music at its best ,,, mind I am a staunch MAN fan !!!!!

  • The next generation of MAN. Bloody brilliant

  • Does anyone have "Kerosene" a great track from the Rhinos Winos and Lunatics album

  • man are playing at club riga southend tonight and i'm gonna miss it because of work ...bollocks i'm really pissed off

  • I miss Phil Ryan's fabulous keys/minimoog.... the sound of this version of Man is comparatively one dimensional without him, or a replacement.

  • Bob has allways been known as one of the best around

  • Bob is awesome here but then have Man ever had a naff drummer? I mean Pugwash was brilliant, Bob is awesome and as for Terry well how do you describe him? How cool would it be to have Terry and Bob on stage together.

  • Man are good but great with Micky and Deke bit like QSM with no John Cipollina...just don't quite cut it....infact after seeing the you tube clips of recent QSM they should definately hang up their guitars & give permission to release Recoil.

  • What is Recoil?

  • Like father

    Like sun

  • Eyes Of Blue, Big Sleep, Ancient Grease, Help Yourself, Iceberg...wow! lots of stuff to keep up with. Lot's of great stuff. Even some Man family material on the Buzzy Linhart debut...

  • People think that Lynyrd Skynyrd started the duelling guitars solos thing.

    Man did it long before.

  • Who's the drummer??? He's freakin awesome!!!!

  • Bobby Richards

  • All the Man line-up I've seen have been just fine. I think Micky was in all of them. Good judge of other musicians eh?

  • And the legend continues!!!! Hwyl.

  • 6:15 GO ON BOB ! ! !

  • check out the new album DIAMONDS AND COAL

As good as any MAN album ever

  • George Jones' voice is very similar to that of his legendary father, Micky Jones. It is so great to see George continuing the legacy of his father as regards to the guitar playing. Also, note Martin Ace's son, Josh on additional guitar and, of course, the old man himself on bass.

  • Man will go on forever....

  • Not the best gig that I have seen this line-up of Man perform (I managed to watch from the windows of my room at at a pub on the square - nice and dry!). The heavy rain didn't help but the band didn't really seem to get going until the last 3-4 numbers. They do still cut it however, so go and see them on their rare UK appearances.

  • can't wait for the full dvd.
