By the looks of this case, the only thing your getting is the name. It doesn't look like it would keep your iPad that safe and the cut outs don't even line up with any of the bottoms or ports. All you're getting with this case is that branding on the front.

You people are stupid. You pay for the brand and the quality of work that goes in to the case. Everything is hand stitched and it will last a really long time. Don't hate on products you don't have because you can't afford them. I own several things from Louis Vuitton and if you can afford it it is worth every penny.

For those of you wondering who would buy this.... there are people, I can assure you.

Over the years I have purchased numerous LV products including handbags, shoes and even a Filofax (£120!) and my experience has always been the same: cheap tat.

In some ways, this is one of the benefits of being married. I no longer have to foot the bill for ridiculously overpriced rubbish!

This is pretty much the textbook definition of a luxury item. You don't hear of the Louis Vuitton brand and think "cheap."

For as much as they charge, though, I would hope they'd do a better job securing the iPad in there. The stand function looks like more of a hassle to set up, too, and that doesn't look like the most comfortable viewing angle unless it's sitting at neck level.

Nice review. I completly agree with what you say. I ve looked into designer brand accessories in the past for iPhone and iPad and all I ve found where cases with little or no functionality, but cut outs and just a plain disapointment. I would feel that comming from companies that produce high quality items at very high price, the least they could do is to offer equal level of functionality as the other cases out there.

@assholiquor the thing is that with this case you get just that fancy LV pattern. as you have seen, you just slide the ipad in there and if you are holding it the wrong way it slides out. that's just wrong and for me it looks like they didint concern very much for functionality and safety. there are other leather cases out there, well-made, cheaper (as in 2-300$), that worth every penny and are more functional than this one. paying just for the brand doesnt guarantee you the quality
