Far far best music of all towns.

No better town to defend. With the double-wide moat and all the stat bonuses for defending heroes, I've held off armies 3x what mine was. Plus, most of the creatures are pretty strong with nice special abilities. The only real fail of this town in my opinion was the Mage's Guild only going to lvl 3... :p

Otherwise, great town, epic soundtrack.

the magic elementals (conflux) have the same abilitys like hydras and they also got spell immunity =)

I will probably have the whole world aginst me. But one for i.. saying that.. Chaos Hydra is one of the strongest unit i whole heroes 3 becuse of "No relatation and AOE strike" Haste and Frenzy on chaos hydra is just so LOL.. :D and this music... fantastic <3

It's not crazy, given that any time you hit at least 2 creatures with the aoe you have more dmg than an archangel, and between tactics, haste, teleport, prayer there is generally a way to make these things instantly threatening (slowing the opposition makes it hard to get away from them too). Not only that, but fortress is king of movement screw; you dont want to be in gorgon range, dont want to focus fire then get spanked by hydra, and 1 stack flies constantly dispel + weaken.

Its common mistake by new players or players who didnt played online seriously to think that fortress is weak town. Actually its strongest town in online gameplay(given that elemental and necro towns are banned from play, which was in basic online rules for quite some time), and many h3 pro players played fortress constantly.

u need to explain to me how fortress even have a match. i can get wyverns fast, that is impressive but their magic is low, hydra slow and theyr only archer is to low lvl to make a differense, they just die.

You forgot about the Gorgons, they are like one of the best monsters in the game, at least the upgrades Gorgons that has Death Gaze, and huge amount of hp, can kill a level 7 monster really easy.

my lvl 7 monster throws so it wont be near u. it will kill u at distance. and if u try sending in those seprent flyes ill make sure my nagas will stick around, but ok lets say its early in the game. we dont have much of magic nor monsters. i always play solmyr when im tower, so i automaticly got chainlighting. and that is really useful sometimes.

elemental and necro towns are banned because they are too strong in online gameplay. Good player with necro and good starting area will get 1k+ skeletons in mere 3 weeks. While elemental got alot of little small perks(resists, bless potential, etc) and including +2 for 7lvl monster.

To answer player that advocated tower, tower is reputed to be one of the weakest towns in online gameplay due its high resources demands. And fortress is strong because of little things common people will overlook.

Guys don't say that Fortress sucks...Maybe it's not the best in the game, but like this town above every other...It relies on it's defence...creatures are very good at defence...and the only HERO that has number 4 creature (in this case: the basilisk) when u buy it is from FORTRESS.....his name is Bron

it doesn't suck. hydras are ok, especially with teleport magic, just send them directly onto your enemy and attack. serpent flies are very speedy, gorgons are tough, basilisks are ok too..

lol no try fighting big number of mighty gorgons with your best units. archangel? black dragons? just bring it on! you will regret the time you began playing that game. also, hydras arent too bad either. the only unit that sucks in this town is probably the wyverns. this town is at least MUCH BETTER than inferno or stronghold and with good unit combination could be on par with some of the best towns in the game such as dungeon or castle.
