Sega should have created an option on this game where you can change the audio to japanese audio and also include english subtitles. Some of the voice acting is bad, like the voice for the little girl.

After 10 years of waiting, now I think it's kinda cool that we'll probably never see the end to Shenmue.. I hate goodbyes.. So it's like neverending story, you can imagine yourself. It adds to the mystic feel of the game. That game is legendary and will always be. But for me the main appeal of the game is the soundtrack, I think it is phenomenal in its quality and it really makes the game so touching..

The NPCs sound like Microsoft Narrator's Anna or Sam, only Mic. Narrator sounds more human. As for the hot dog guy... is he Indian or what? I'm lost. Every time he mentions the car I think he's about to say "Have you seen a little car? Shiny, black thing? About seven years old?" or something. Watching this is starting to make me rather APPRECIATE the Yakuza 1 and Siren 1 dubs more. Ouch.

We just want a Shenmue 3 using any of the current engines available, I reccomend the Yakuza engine. It is more then good enough.

@wazzzer Your challange would not be to make Shenmue 3 but to figure out how to appeal to todays gamers. This game was ahead of it's time back then, the biggest draw of this game was it's virtually living world with each Ai with it's own intelligence and story you can interact with. Today there are games that do that even better so fans asking for Shenmue 3 just for the heck of it is not gonna get it because there is nothing here that will draw people to it. Thats the reality of it really.

Sega are a software company now.. Im pretty confident that someday shenmue 1 & 2 will be released on xboxlive and psn.. I may be wrong on this but Im gonna stick my neck out.. Give it a year or 2 and we will be playing shenmue on current consoles..

In Japan, names are usually backwards. For example, if your name was Tanaka Suzuki, in Japan your name would be Suzuki Tanaka. In the original Shenmue, Yuan Da Zhu's name is Zhu Yuan Da. In part 2 it was changed to Yuanda Zhu so that Americans are not confused by the last name being first.
