@stromasdragon the pump on my washer could not be repaired, and the pump was avail only as a whole unit from the parts supplier, you could not order just the impeller. thx for the note, eric - GardenFork
Thanks for the video, educational and encouraging! The water in my fasher remains after all the cycles, i checked if there is anything blocking, there was, some sand... and now the sand is clean, it still does it. so i believe the water pump is broken. time for a new one!
My husband teases me, he says i married his handyman skills. He has worked on everything we have that breaks. We have a file that has all the manuals for everything. My kids, his step kids, lovingly call him "tinker". Its really a great compliment to him, they know they can call him to help fix something. He gets a kick out of it.
I'm a female and I replaced the heater core in my dryer. It was also an easy peasy thing to do. I called the repair number on my paperwork and talked to a technician. The warranty was long out on it, but the tech did tell me which of the two removable pieces in the back of the dryer was the core. He also gave me a tip for getting that piece in and out. Cost of part $25! Free phone call. Can't beat that.
Thanks for showing us how to replace the water pump. I'm sure I'll need it one day.
@umstetter fixing your clothes dryer is great. if the dryer starts making a squealing sound when the drum is turning, its probably the roller bearings, which look like skateboard wheels, you can order those and replace them as well. order a drive belt at the same time, save you some labor going forward. thx, eric.
@DBIGMAN812MANY the camera operator was at work, and i needed to fix our clothes washer, and i then realized i should make a video about it as I fixed the washer. she does add good questions to the show. thx, eric.
@erochow Ya, or in my case - a giant male Bernese Mountain dog (Mukwah) who stays conveniently upstairs whilst my daughter, me & the 2 female dogs investigate & do the repairs. Its always hilarious the way the girls stick their heads into the appliance as if assessing the situation, while the big guy lounges as far away as possible ! hehe Thanks again !
Great video. I watched how you also did a water heater replacement and it gave me confidence to do it myself and I ended up saving $400.00 on installation cost. Thanks. Dogs looks great.
Do you think it is worth checking the pump over before ordering a new one? Thanks for a really awesome video you have lovely dogs.
