yeap!! this is an awesome video for an awesome song and thanks for taking your time to share it with the people...... but does anybody knows what is this song about?? it's about animal cruelty and animals experiments!! so please if you like this song as much as i do i hope you are aware of that!! and if you are aware of that you will make anything to stop that once for all!! thank you!! and before i leave: you did an awesome work with that paint and the videos is just perfect!! congratulations!!
@miguelito129 Placebo no tiene nada que ver con los emos, nadie los quiere, además placebo fué muchísimo más anterior a los emos. En esos entonces había punks y darks, mucho más respetables que los emos
the first verse talk about lynching and religious intolerance, and the second talks about how the speaker doesn't under stand the difference between between colors ("a latent strain of colorblindness").
the chorus is trying to say how, though we may look different, the blood the runs through our veins is all the same, and that's what we should focus on.
A heads up, since there seems to be legitimate interest: the song is a tribute to Billie Holiday's 'Strange Fruit' - a song about lynching.
That said, it's not too difficult to follow the basic narrative. As to precise meaning, I can't say; there are a number of interpretations that could be taken from there. That's the beauty of poetic language.
So then why do you ask me to take a biology class? surely the key to understand why it is the key, must lie in the knowledge I would supposedly gain from a biology class.
I know that. but what does it have to do with the rest of the song? why is it the key? it's like saying: "Deoxyribonucleic acid is the key!" sure it's a medical term and it's quite important. it's like they're just trying to sound interesting.
for me i think it means that you can feel alone and have everyone look down on you because you're weird and different. but hemoglobin is the key because it's what we all have that keeps us alive and what we have in common.
To me it's about drug addiction and depression leading to suicide... In which he regrets his actions and doesn't want to die. "Haemoglobin is the key" reflects his thoughts of remorse as he bleeds out. Good song :)
I get the impression of a revolution, that someone breaks free from what has holden him/her back, say society or others opinions and instead starts caring just for the self.
Then, somehow things go wrong but the person is still very proud and tries to stand on their own feet.
That's what i think about when I hear "Haemoglobin"... intresting to see what others think :)
Hemoglobin is the protein that can have mutations that can cause diseases such as sickle-cell. Sickle-cell, being carried mostly in black males.
The song depicts a lynching and the evolution of the black society in the United States. Illustrating that the black population became extremely violent as a defense mechanism.
I think they might've been singing about some kind of murderer, or maybe some kind of crazy scientists. They wy they sing it is a bit odd, but it makes more sence if you accttually read the lyrics ^^;
whacha meen?!?! everyone knows what a great song this is...dont they? . . . . u realy should have done a whole animation. u could have made sumfin amazin. good pic tho

I meant haemoglobine in correlation with the song you ass. i'm a 4th year medical student I know what haemoglobin does.
twiztedsnake 3 years ago
It's the key, because it is. That's the way the song was written. It doesn't matter why. Lawl.

So then, why do you even care, as surely, the key must be that NOBODY DOES AS IT'S JUST A FREAKING SONG!
