I've been in many conventions and Shatner and Nimoy never show up with bodyguards like Quinto Did. For me, it didn't look right. After all he was among trekkies!
mmm a most memorable breakfast.... indeed the very best way to start any day... finally I am in a You Tube video which just happens to be one that Mr. Quinto is in aswell.... SQUEEE XD!!!
At 0:22, i wonder if that was the girl who reminded me of a young Susie Plakson. I was there too, had the Captain's Chair package. Didn't pay 4 this event though. Anyway was this the end of it? Cuz he walked out at the end of this video. Anyway its great to get videos of this convention cuz the creation company are very strict about not letting any be done. I was although at the Saturday Dessert Party. Saw a really beautiful girl there too. Long hair, blue Nurse Chapel Uniform. Natural. ::Sigh::
LOL As well you should. Quinto (to me) doesn't make a great spock, but he seems to treat his fans in a very humble way which I totally respect and he does come out for the fans which means a lot to me too. Not a big fan of him neither but he makes ladies like you happy. I love it. You have a gold ticket?
Really? I thought he took a role that couldn't possibly be changed and made it his own. You're actually the first person I've heard that from, surprisingly. I thought there would be a lot more people who disliked him as Spock.
I did not have a gold ticket, sadly. I was there from Friday to Sunday. Most were there just on Sunday for Zach. He was so sweet to his fans.. he took the time to look evey person in the eye, which means a lot.
What's the difference between gold and captain's chair?
Well not judging you and not talking about people you know and most people wont admit this anyway but this is how I feel. He's popular cuz he's Sylar from Heroes. He's what's in. Granted he wasn't THAT bad but he lacked the cool calm Nimoy had that made the Vulcan role what it should be. Granted he is still NOT Nimoy but he should at least bring a spock-like presence to the role and honestly he didn't. He was just too much like Sylar rather than Spock.
See, I wasn't a Heroes fan until after Star Trek. I didn't even know who he was. Star Trek actually got me hooked on Heroes.
I don't just like Heroes because of Zachary, though. It's just my kind of show.
The movie was basically about Spock, the sides were flipped and Spock was the main character. If he was cool and calm, it would take away from the plot. You know?
Plus, with Vulcan being attacked, and his mother dying, it brought out his human emotions causing him to lash out.
LOL It's okay as long as you admit it. Most people would've attacked me for thinking I attacked them without realizing how biased they're already being in this case. Like I said I wasn't talkin about you really. Just saying it's the general concensus. Even with those disclaimers into play, I still think there were too many character inconsistencies altogether. That's just me though. I love how he's a very nice peoples-fan to his fans. He did earn his fanbase I'll say.
Oh yea! I know when I'm being bias. I love every Jim Carrey movie out there, even "23". That's why when people asked me if it was good I tell them straight out that I heard it sucks but I still have to love it. It may not be logical, but it's how I feel =)
No disrespect to your judgment and I really apologize to you if you think I'm attacking you or anything like that, it's just how I feel. I've been a die-hard fan for over 20 years and when I saw the movie I was disappointed in that respect. Anyway the Gold ticket is the highest one. It's like 700 dollars and you get free admission all 4 days, special parties, and autographs and pricing, etc. Also gold wristbands and lanyers/badge. Plus you get to sit in the closest rows during panels.
The Captain's Chair ticket is almost the same thing except you dont get to sit as close as the gold people. You can sit as close as the farthest back gold ticket trekkie. Plus your special dinner is the day after the gold people. And you dont get free autographs. You get a red lanyer/badge, and a red wristband. Unfortunately, both dont give you free access to the klingon feast, resistance to bingo, or the celebrity breakfast with Quinto. So its up to how crazy you truly are in the end lol
I met Nimoy about a month ago in my town, it was awesome, I was so star struck.
The breakfast definitely helped me get used to being around Quinto, haha. I was less nervous when I met him for the autograph, and even less nervous for the photo opp.
That's an investment. But for me personally if I were to do one of those outside events, I would have done the Klingon Feast. That would've been something. To hang with Tony Todd and Vaughn Armstrong while I ate dinner would've been THE BEST! But I didn't take enough money with me to las vegas this time so next year I plan to do that full monty and I mean full monty where I will go all out with the spending and events. No joke! Might even go in costume too.
Last month Tony Todd barely bumped into my friend so now I always bring it up like "Remember that time when Tony Todd punched you in the face?" or "Hey, remember when Tony Todd lit you on fire?"
It's awesome to joke about, because he is one scary dude.
I would totally go in costume! I want to be green or something!
I was going to get some Vulcan ears from that make-up artist, but I decided against it because I'd rather be dressed for them.
Yeah, it seemed like there was a lot of videotaping going on, given that Creation is supposedly so strict about their no videotaping policy. I just posted a response video of the beginning of the breakfast, that I took with my still camera (hence the not-so-great quality).
LOL...on 0:27 that is me realizing "Corey Moosa" was there...i was..."you are the guy from..."behind the door""...while Zach was about to talk to him, Corey got distracted and ignored him :(...but then Zach laugh at the end...i guess caused he heard Mossa correcting me..."no, is BEFORE the door"...how embarrassing :(
LOL...my plan was to somehow do that without crying...BUT the girl that cried got his hug...i dont know, i didnt feel like getting one after that...i got to shake his hand and introduced myself "formally" during the signing session; and then gave him a big hug and stayed hugging him during the photo op...i will get multiple photo op tix NEXT time...that way i will stay hugging him longer...LOL...kidding!...

Nimoy and Shatner were hilarious together!

My plan was to ask him to raise his eyebrow in my picture. But I just ended up smiling.
I'll do it next time though!
So were you guys hugging in your picture? He was doing all sorts of things in everyones pictures! They were all so good!

are his eyebrows as overpowering in real life as they are on the screen? they looked kinda toned down there.
rongravy 2 years ago
His eyebrows are just like you would see on TV. They are massive, glorious, and I love them!
Doppelgangland 2 years ago
I fear them, yet wonders inside they have to behold. Do you think they are full of fun, and joy... and joyness?
I will just say he was born to play Spock. Those 'brows' didn't just happen. They were PLANNED.
rongravy 2 years ago
His eyebrows are the secret to life, the universe, and how to put Ikea's furniture together. They are all knowing. They are magical.
