You are going to like Ramirez and Torres. Ramirez doesn't really have closer stuff, but he is an excellent setup man who can get both LH and RH hitters out; he throws strikes and can get the double play ground ball when needed. As for Torres, he is the nicest dude you could ever meet. In the outfield he can flat out fly, and since he plays a relatively shallow CF you get to watch him rob people of a base hit and then run back a long way to make a spectacular catch at the wall. He is Gold Glove

@tornadom I'm looking forward to seeing these two players on the Mets next year. Hopefully Torres will find his 2010 form. Angel Pagan is a similar situation, except he's younger and his 2011 wasn't as bad as Andres Torres' was. Plus, he was very unlucky. His line drive % and walk % increased and strikeout % decreased and yet the batting average dropped by 30 points. Although awful defensively in 2011, in his career he's played outstanding defense, so that too should come back.

Ramirez is a good pitcher and torres is a good double/triple hitter. They helped us Win Gold in 2010 and should improve your team.

Based on your met video log, he hit the grand slam, came around to score on that weird infield fly play against the Braves, the extra inning triple against the Padres, home runs against the Reds and Rockies, and the walk off shot against the Cards. Ramirez is a solid middle reliever you should like him. Torres is a very good defensive player but he was so awful at the plate last year. I wish both well and thank them for their contributions to the 2010 WS champion team. BTW it'll be interesting to see if Ramirez starts more stuff with Phily considering he'll face them a lot.

But yeah, it's a solid trade in general. Torres is a defensive upgrade to Pagan, but ultimately Pagan is the better hitter at the moment. I hope "The Crazy Horse" does well with you guys. Here's to Pagan and Torres recapturing their 2010 forms.

@ericpabc Yeah he was a journeyman before he got to us. Before he had signed with the Giants he hired a hitting coach who changed his batting stance and helped him become a better hitter.

@IENinersfan yeah i think the trade is preety even pagan is a better hitter than torres, not that bad of a defender, and a hustles very hard but he does make a couple bone head mistakes but hes good. torres is 34 and cant hit but a good defender but i love the ramon ramirez move we finally have a good bullpen on paper. u can still resign beltran boras isnt his agent anymore so he the negotions shouldnt be hard
