@asiaticdeviant1 Surprisingly this movie was great, it was disturbing as I thought but the overall plot was great. It wasnt just a sick movie it was a dark realism where they didn't go overboard for where they were.

@damemphizundaground great movie. looked and felt like what i remember exploitation movies being like. when i was like 6 i remember them showing exploitation movies at the laser disc store and hobo with a shotgun had that feeling. colors and violence and overacting. the intro reminded me too much of cannibal holocaust though, i was wondering if any other movie had a similar intro.

@tankluster - The impalement scene was faked. Deodato had to explain/show how the effect worked during the court hearing (along with showing pictures of the actress interacting with the crew), to prove that he didn't murder the actors.

I love this song. It's seriously one of my favorites. For as trashy and vile a film as "Cannibal Holocaust" is, it's strategy is rather brilliant. A score is often something to set the mood and let the audience know how to feel. However, with "Cannibal Holocaust" does something brilliantly different; it gives us something beautiful to our ears, while delivering something ugly to our eyes. Truly scary!

@TheNotoriousKAZ86 The fascinating thing is that this beautiful music is interspersed with some of the scenes,thus making it more unsettling. Aside from the animal sequences,this is a stunning,if vile film. Ruggero Deodato has crafted a misanthropic masterpiece.
