why SenCi is so luxurious is just because they could build this shopping centers for an unexpensive cost (as in Dubai and other third world countries). fyi SenCi cost them USD 150 Mil. and Burj al Arab cost only USD 1.5 Bil. (in Europe, Japan and US they'll cost you 10 times more expensive to build so)

there are mostly bigger than any mall in europe or another country...

for example, KaDeWe(biggest mall in europe) in Germany is just 60.000sqm,, itu just much smaller than taman anggek in Indonesia(its around 320.000sqm) and many more malls like senayan city, plaza senayan, grand indonesia etc. sized more than 200.000sqm..

Senayan City Mall, agree, it's not that good.. Too fancy, it's like Beverly Hills Mall I guess, not much to do.. The same goes to Pondok Indah Mall 2..

I love Mall Taman Anggrek, they have ice skating ring.. The older Pondok Indah Mall is also good.. Cilandak Town Square is not bad at all..

Oh, there's this mall.. I forgot the name, it's new, and when I entered it, it was HUGE!! The reception itself was like very big, I could even get lost..

Not the one around the BEJ building though..

Saya sudah k Senayan City. Just nearby at where I live. Saya org Brunei yg bru kli pertama k Jakarta. Saya banyak bli barang di Kelapa Gading (Another Luxurious Hypermall) ada 5 malls in it. Barang2nya boleh di katakan murah2 walaupun berjenama dan agak mahal. Siok lh k Jakarta... I miss Jakarta... Nanti saya balik semula k jakarta.., Mungkin pertengahan tahun ini.

it's senayan city mall actually,if u stay in shangrilla then it wont be far away from the mall.

i dont think it's over-luxurious,coz there's plenty of new malls in jakarta that has more luxurious design.

Hi SubSe7en1, I'm an Aussie, went to both Philippines and Indonesia recently. While I admit that Mall of Asia and the Megamall in Manila is HUGE, it doesn't feel luxurious(no offense mate). Although Grand Indonesia (NOT the mall featured in the video)is smaller than Mall of Asia, Grand Indonesia feels 'grander'. If you've been there you'll feel that the mall feels more like a five star hotel with shops in it. The interior of GI is very good. Bigger isn't always better you know. Cheers mate.

Maybe that was an early monday morning. You have no idea when an afternoon or holidays specially Christmas or Rhamadan, you can't even get a car park or out of the building, it just plenty of people.

Example, one of Indonesian richest man (top 19 current), he's started a shop in 1990 and to have more than 1.5 billion US is an absolutely remarkable.
