This was done back in the days of traditional cel animation. I drew directly onto each cel - using a standard 'keys' and 'inbetweens' process. The pencils I used were called 'Audiovisual' pencils - now illegal due to the lead content in the graphite. (Pity really as they gave such a wonderful grainy quality to the line on celluloid.) The cels were back painted with a light pink paint, as per normal process, but I used a red-shaded 'Magic Marker' on the top surface to give a texture to the color.
Why did APhex Name that after this?

I love the sketchy line quality and the hand-coloured look. How was this style achieved if you don't mind me asking ?
