Lol, funny but kinda sad joke. Eric is very good-looking and talented, but he was actually a next choice to Fox, who was simply, just perfect. However...They say Stoltz had a darker take on the role that didn't suit...But looking at footage they even gave him a dark wardrobe, and, I kinda wonder if it was the crew's doing that really made up Marty the wrong way the first time. If Fox was still unavailabe, they woulda kept Stoltz but would've realized they just need to change the outfit perhaps.

As long as Christopher Lloyd is still Doc Brown, I'd watch it!

I do hope that someday the (incomplete) Eric Stoltz version will be released, perhaps as an extra for some future special edition DVD or Blu-Ray (or whatever format we'll have next). It would be really interesting to see the same classic movie with the same cast but with a different lead actor. I'm curious to see how Stoltz's performance as Marty differed, and how his Marty related with the other characters, particularly Doc Brown.

@GeishaShattori Those scenes weren't officially released but they're leaked I've seen them party on the Blu-ray and online. Keep lookin! It was cool to see but of course it doesn't beat MJF.
