  • Second stock of second match was full of lol.

  • the definition of fox dittos, FD only

  • This isn't a tournament game, this is clearly a friendly. Even mango said himself that too many people try too hard to win in freindlies. This type of match is better for discovering and practicing new techniques. I applaud the creative and aesthetic style of these guys in friendlies. In tournament, I bet they play a lot more solid.

  • this video is better then some tas videos

  • I honestly think Dark was playing both characters...

  • @madiesm

Dark and Zant are like equally tech skilled and also equally stupid

  • Sanxion7-Eternus for the last song... Great song choice :D

  • @Pontus501 the sad truth of it

  • its not about mindgames, they have massive tech skill but honestly they suck lol.

  • @Pontus501 Dark has already admitted he is a noob...but he has amazing tech skill..If he would actually practice...there's no doubting what he could do.

  • @Nakedguy01 Practice not SD'ing?

  • @Pontus501 These guys do NOT suck. There is very few people in the world who can match them tech wise. Besides, the lack of mind games is completed by the mad tech.

  • Who says there's no porn on YouTube!!!

  • I watched a lot of other fox dittos after this one and they all seem so slow, I think will never be satisfied again lol

  • inb4 "no items, fox only, final destination" comments

  • 3:15 YOU MUST RECOVER!

  • dark and zant throwing out moves :P

  • Lol from 3:07 to 3:34

    Chilean edgeguarding at it's finest

  • I actually want to see how far they would get in an actual tournament. It would be SilentWolf but even more extreme, someone who relies purely on tech skill to win matches.

Would be cool to see pure tech skill vs pure mind games

  • @ruhtraeel ill spoil that one for you right now; mindgames wins hands down...like not even close

  • @southpawpwnage

yeah to the human extent but once you get to near frame-perfect skills then tech skill > mindgames

I think Dark is thinking/starting to approach those skills

  • @ruhtraeel i have to disagree with you there, watch a good samus vs a technical fox, that proves mindgames > tech...if ur basing ur oppinion on TAS vids, you have to keep in mind those arent just frame perfect tech, they know what is going to happen aka perfect mindgames and reads also.

  • @southpawpwnage

Perfect tech skill usually comes with perfect reflexes I guess

Perfect reflexes = no need for mindgames?

  • @ruhtraeel That is also false, one of the big things with mindgames is to trick you into doing something that is punishable, and if someone had frame perfect timing and instant reflexes, but still fell for something, there are still some frames of lag that the person with perfect tech skill could not do anything except get punished.

  • @southpawpwnage

But still, if someone had perfect reflexes and just stood there, it would be impossible to mindgame him into anything, because ex.

Mindgames = I dash dance (or do any mindgame) in hopes that Tech Skill will be baited into these actions: etc etc etc

Tech Skill/Perfect Reflexes = The mindgame that he is attempting can be countered with these sets of moves at this frame, this different set of moves at this other frame, etc etc

Mindgames = not perfect reflexes = gets countered.

  • @ruhtraeel ok so u stand still and the mindgames ledge camps, you cant laser him, stalemate. if you are gonna assume you have perfect tech and perfect reaction time, you then have to assume that the person with perfect mindgames also has perfect reads, which is the other part of tas videos. With perfect reads, he can dodge all of your moves because he knows what you are going to do, and therefor can counter it when u decide to go, and because you are assuming tech is better, u r wrongiftheytie

  • @southpawpwnage

Also, perfect reads mean that he knows where you go, but not necessarily able to get there. Getting there requires tech skill. If you were talking about all mindgames no tech skill vs all tech skill no mindgames, tech skill would win.

  • @southpawpwnage

Which brings me to my original point, only mindgames vs only tech skill. Execution > setup

  • @ruhtraeel no, thats what i am saying, with perfect tech skill and you standing still compared to them being on the ledge waiting to punish your approach, if you approach nothing is frame safe, so you would get punished, if you dont it will draw, and you will lose the argument because you said its better not tied, and the only reason it is tied is because the person with perfect mindgames has scared you into not moving...

  • @southpawpwnage

You don't have to approach. You can camp with any character that has projectiles. And without perfect tech skill, you can't dodge all of them.

There's a reason why everyone says you must have solid tech skill to play space animals, the most popular characters in the game.

  • @ruhtraeel thats why i said they camp the ledge, you cant hit them if they are below the possible area of your projectiles. Also they dont need perfect tech skill to stay on a ledge, they dont even have to have invincibility frames if you dont approach.

  • @southpawpwnage

I mean all tech skill no mindgames vs all mindgames and NO TECH SKILL

  • @southpawpwnage

ALL tech skill NO mindgames vs ALL mindgames NO tech skill.

Even if you know exactly what the other person is going to do, you can't beat him if you can't execute it.

  • @ruhtraeel again, theres a difference between tech skill and basic controls. Tech skill is how well you know and can use ADVANCED movement techniques, but if you are enough steps ahead to just spot dodge an approach with samus and dsmash a technical fox that only approaches because they are mindlessly just trying to hit you, then you dont even need tech skill, just the knowledge of what the buttons do at their basic levels.

  • @southpawpwnage

Again, you need decent tech skill to camp the ledge effectively forever. You can't just hang there because you fall off after a while.

And you can't win a game if you play pure defence and they play pure campy offence. Eventually you will lose by percent.

  • @ruhtraeel what im telling you is that tech skill is the advanced hand motions, anyone can hold a ledge until they fall then re-jump what your saying is that i basically dont have hands, and im saying you basically dont have a brain if we follow what you are saying. ant with out a brain you would be running off the stage doing technical stuff while i sat still and thought about it...pointless argument for one, and not very well layed out.

  • @southpawpwnage

Ok, so you just grab the ledge and rejump over and over again. The technical Samus just shoots guided missiles (cancelled ones if you want) over and over again. Pretty soon you will get hit. And after you get hit, you HAVE to approach or it times out. Bottom line = you HAVE to approach to win. You HAVE to have tech skill to approach.

But yeah, I'm sick of this discussion. Reply if you want, but I'll just delete it.

  • @ruhtraeel well unless you are gonna hack my account, or are using 2 accounts you cant delete this reply. and when it comes to the argument we were talking about a technical fox, and then i said a smart samus could easily beat a technical fox, now that i made to much sense for you, you switched rolls, fox cant shoot the ledge with missiles buddy, also if it were fox he could grab the ledge and punish, but you said that he wouldnt approach...so thats out. so again we end up at a draw.

  • @ruhtraeel I don't know what kind of trash Fox you're playing against, but Fox can nair missiles and it will destroy them, if you spotdodge an aerial and try to dsmash, he can shine you out of it. Also, Samus can't ledgehop homing missile regrab edge. They have to be smashed missiles, which fox can bair through AND hit Samus as well. You just don't know what you're talking about.

  • man... it pains me that these guys are so technical, because they're horrible at everything else.

They style right into each other's moves, do random technical shit for no reason, kill themselves frequently, and they clearly don't give a damn about spacing. Its like this is how top fox mains would play if they OD'd on crack.

  • @PlayerPandu but when it works, they can put it in a cool combo video!

  • You guys are playing melee like it's fucking stepmania.

  • what was the music???

  • 7:43 I thought you guys agreed to edgeguard poorly throughout the set;)

All joking aside tho, you guys have the most amazing tech skill I've ever seen (or could've imagined!) It's like a work of art.

  • @givememuney pretty sure they're just showcasing some tech skill and being as flashy as possible. They'd probably play a lot safer under tourney pressure

  • si quitamos el suicidio extremo creo que me acavo de cagar al ver el match, son la verga
