@prelude326 As of today Sony has announced the full Gran Turismo 5 car list. It consists of 10000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future. Polyphony Digital will also develop cars for individual clients. That means in the future we could have any car put into the game for a special price. Of course the damage model will be not present in GT5. Below we are attaching the nearly official carlist of GT5. Be ready for more info in the close future!

Sony Computer Entertainment is developping and producing it. its a Sony exclusive. this is Forzamotorsport's competition for a racing simulator. now why would sony risk losing sales for it on ps3 if it goes multi-platform. i just highly doubt that being the case. good day mate.

They will still be releasing patches, updates, and DLC content for more cars. The first update is coming this December to upgrade the Standard Car graphics and damage.

The disk that the Playstation 3 uses(Blu-Ray) combined with the internal hard drive Polyphony could have as many cars as they want in the game. The main thing that may limit them is the amount of time that they have to do it in(thanks to eager fans like us).

With that said I really want to see Porsche cars in the game. They are just as if not more important than Ferrari in racing and automotive history. You can't ignore all time classics such as the 959,356, myriad of 911's and the Carrera GT.
