PANTS ON FIRE - lowered taxes rates? Houstonians' tax bills increased because appraisals increased more than the City rate "cut". City and county residential taxpayers' taxes increased about 15% while commercial property owners paid about 32% more. Does that sound like a tax cut to anyone in Houston? Also problematic, the City of Houston is about $8 billion in debt. You don't want White running anything - let alone the State of Texas!
