When I was a DOD Police Officer we lived and breathed Posse Comitatus. We had to be very careful not to do anything that could even be misinterpreted as Law Enforcment away from our duty station. It was taken that serious. I almost got in trouble for interviening in a domestic violence situation off duty. Even though I kept a women from having the tar beat out of her, just because it was known that I worked for DOD. And now they are dealing with homocides what has happened.

Yeah but that's the National Guards job. I think the question we have to ask is: Why are so many of our troops stationed here in the USA and not elsewhere around the world where we REALLY need them? I think we also have to question why there are sooo many foreign troops stationed here and training on OUR soil!

Hey Phonehed, Thanks for the kind words regarding my other comment. Cheers. In regards to foriegn troops. Yeah, that one is weird. When I was in the military we were all amazed at how many foreign troops there were roaming freely around our bases without supervision or oversight at all. In addition, regardless of our rank and their rank they were foreign so we had no right to stop them, question them, watch them or anything. Very strange how they run the foreign troop training.

Well first off let me educate you. The Guard is not some separate thing from the active duty military. All Air Guard and National Guard troops are mostly ex-active duty members and the traditionals there are trained by active duty schools. The only difference really is that the state has priority over the troops then the Feds do. Also these "troops" are citizens of the U.S. like you are not some robots. Your fear is unfounded.

Ok, now let me educate you. I never said the Guard was separate from the military, nor do I need to be educated as to who they are or what their function is supposed to be, although I sometimes wonder if they really know what their function is now. I never said I was afraid of anything and in fact, Id gladly kill & die without hesitation to protect my family, friends and the constitution from ALL enemies foreign AND domestic! Im definitely concerned about the alarming number of foreign...

I also never said I wanted troops overseas but youd think thats where most of them would be with two different wars going on and the threat of danger looming on so many other fronts. Of course its pretty hard to say what the real troop ratios are right now but I wouldnt be at all surprised to see our government use foreign or domestic troops to violate our constitutional rights.

We have to forgive them ( the troops) for most them know not what they've done. I believe that the well majority of the troops truely believe that they are " fighting for a good cause" But remember, they have children too. And once they realize and come out from under that " ether" they have been put under, they will slowly but surely " walk away" from their duties. because again, their children will have to live in what they helped create.M y opnion this is a clever attempt to stop the Agenda.

Look I was in the military and we were all pretty aware that it is illegal to use military within the US. So no I do not forgive them. I do not forgive total ignorance at the end of a rifle. You pick up the rifle and wear the uniform you had better know what your there to do and not to do.

I don't understand, when the issue was raised for our military to protect our Southern Border there was a big stink about it not being Constitutional.

How do they feel it's ok to deploy our US Army on the streets of Alabama? Where next? Will our own military be used against us? The first Ammendment is being challenged. Peacefully assemble and see what happens.

Our Government needs to be stopped.

We haven't had posse comitatus since 2007 when the John Warner Defense Act was passed.

It allows for troops to be used when the local force is overwhelmed.

In this case, they had 5 policeman in their town. So in comes the army from a nearby camp. Who ordered them is the question.
