I take it that you went to OSU flight school. My dad got to train with J. Beatunes as well. Not sure if he or McConnel was there when you trained at OSU.
I am a grad of The Ohio State University but got my PPL at Bolton Field. BS in Aero Engineering. The majority of my training since was in the USAF. Loved OSU though, spent my last year as Brutus Buckeye, hence the screen name. I take it you fly as well?
I have thought about being a pilot, but I am not old enough - only 10. My dad works for NetJets and is a pilot. I am hoping to solo when I am 16. We have actually flown into Bolton before in a C172 but he has given up his membership in his flying club. That is pretty cool that you were Brutus. I have some jerseys signed by several Brutus's. Last year I finally made it to my first OSU FB game. The C17 looks like a fun plane. I was stunned by how maneuverable it was at such a slow speed.
Yeah, the C17 is a blast to fly. It responds like a much smaller aircraft. Good luck with your flying. Glad to hear you made it to an OSU FB game. Those are great, don't ever pass up the chance to go. There is another good video of some extreme climbs in formation that I posted. Pretty cool. Anyway, good luck and Go Bucks!
You did a phenomonal job. I was there. It was one of the highlights of the whole show in my opinion. What you guys do with that plane is just amazing.

Yes. I flew the demo in this video. The jet and crew are based at Altus AFB, OK from the 58 AS. It was nice being near home for the Dayton Air Show.
