I must say as a canadian. We have some of the best music out there and the bands i remember as well as have are endless the vinyls really bring back those days so full of ladies and bush parties EH CANADA ROCKS EH
So much ear candy here. The piano intro, sweet harmonies blended with Myle's the stellar lead vocal and there are cool vocal hooks all over the place. All that coupled with the nifty hand clap section in the middle. Then it all culminates with the stinging guitar solo outro. One of their many masterpieces!
my girl friend just dumped me kicked me in the nuts and when i was down burned my face with her smoke. and it was all over a girl i talked 2 a year before i started dating this girl. they changed the dates on the messeges. now when i go army i have enof fucking hate 2 keep me fighting. i still love her tho </3
my teen years...ahhhh, April Wine ..........will never forget this band...tons of memories, the days of when these love songs would make the girls swoon and every boy they danced with I bet in the 70s were dancing to April Wine
@miscatcher Amen brother.I'm 14 and its the first time i danced with a girl and this was the song. Now that i think about it she kind of nudged me into it but girls were( and i guess still are) kind of good at that.

Oh,SNAP!! What the hell happined to April Wine??!?!? This isnt the same band I saw in concert.... I wouldnt have gone if they had played this song...oh well..
I love this song and this band, wish I had lived during this time. My mom used to play all this stuff and I grew up with it, will always have a soft spot for it:)
Saw them in a theater in Cornwall Ontario in 1975. Think the tickets were 3or 4 dollars. Had barely heard of them. They started out with Oowatanite and blew us away. GREAT concert. Bought Stand Back the next day. They definitely belong in the
@ senn416.. I agree we Americans missed a lot of April wine. I just saw them a few months here in Denver. This band belongs in the rock hall of fame. My favorite of all time is Bad Company and April wine ranks right up there.
i havnt heard this song in so long! my mom had the greates hits album when i was 7 but being a child, i didnt know how to treat music. so it got scratched :( what i would give to get it back
Man this is Grade Six in Montreal all over again! Where they would have girls against one wall, guys against the other; then turn off the lights at gym dances !
@glamourboy89 i dont think so, although they r an exeptional band we cant ignore the other great artists that have come outta here... guess who, rush, neil young (yes hes canadian)
but I just want to say that April Wine and Myles Goodwyn are the most underrated band , it's a crime that these guys aren't the biggest band in the world, they are tso talented, and Myles Goodwyn is a genius songwriter and has an unbelieveable voice.
I agree ! They do such an unusual range of music, from great pop tunes like this, to ass kicking heavy rock tunes. Just an amazing band. Alot of talent.
I loved April Wine back in the mid 80's, but I didn't know that this song existed until it was played at intermission between the back up band Crash Kings and Chris Cornell coming on stage at 10:15 last Monday Night ... I finally got a hold of the song last night ;-)
No ... not this particular song and if I heard it back in the late 70's or 80's I was so comatoasted from partying my ass off, it never really registered with me ... I wasn't into "Love Songs" back then ;-) Not to mention I was more into hard core 80's rock at that time of my life. This song was written in 1975 and it really wasn't high up on being played over the airwaves through the late Seventies. Other Hard Core Band music dominated the airwaves.
that's funny, yeah love songs are more for us girls, but I was a hard rocker too in my time but now I'm so deaf I have to wear earplugs to concerts, how sad is that!
that really doesn't make sense I have to wear ear plugs becuse the loud music makes my ears ring and then I am deaf for a few days, but I think I am too old for concerts now
