I have exactly the same problem! For this video I didn't use Gmod, just the original Lost Coast (with a few more Combine soldiers). I'm pleased with the part with Breen's voiceover and the close-ups of the murals (starting from 2.30) but my original plan was to have Striders marching in along the coastline - all sorts of stuff - so I was gutted when I discovered Gmod wouldn't work for this map. I might re-make this part some day, but this was the best I could come up with at the time.

The Lost Coast was deleted because of its high system requirements demand. Obviously, the Lost Coast still had a few mistakes, but the main reason it was removed is that these few maps pushed the requirements for the game a lot further than they could be pushed.

Yes I have severly times. But that was because of virus killing my computer I had no other option than format. So that has to do with format? Why?

Hey guys im new to the whole Half Life thing, I am currently downloading 'The Orange Box' which includes HL2,HL2 ep 1 and ep 2. HL2 Lost Coast, TF2, and Peggle Extreme. But just a question, if i havent played Half Life 1, would i be lost in the entire storyline or will the story make itself up and re-tell itself in HL2? I dont want to miss out on the storyline but i dont want to waste the extra cash for something not needed either. Plz reply, thanks! :)

Well HL1 isnt really like HL2, i found it hard to find out what was actually going on the PS2 version, you could buy opposing force and Blueshift on their own because theres a mod coming out called Black Mesa Source. Which is based on HL1 which uses the HL2 engine and is free. But no-one knows when its actualy out yet so, I think you should buy the pack which includes the original HL and the expansion packs.

Dumbass, Episode 3 is about the Borealis (the Aperture Science ship, duh.) up in the north.

Lost Coast was released in 2005 as mostly a tech demo to show the newly developed HDR (High Dynamic Range rendering) system. End of line.

This level is free of charge to most HL2 players (come included in most packagings, including the Orange Box, and ATi Radeon users can get it for free together with HL2DM).
