  • I really enjoy your video's and great recipes. This one is especially good.

  • Betty, thank you so much for this recipe. My husband loves any cookies with oats, so i am happy i have another way to make it. Thanks a lot.

  • These cookies are just out of the oven here and theyre really really wonderful. Thank you Betty :) I used 1/4 honey and 1/4 white sugar, was worried it might effect them setting but they are set fine and really great in taste, thanks so much!!

  • @minxdublin Thanks for the great feedback and the tip on using honey! I really appreciate it!

  • Found the recipe in the sidebar..oops, thanks

  • Betty, is it one cup of SR flour??

  • I'm 16 (a guy) and I can't live without chocolate chip cookies, this is a great healthy alternative. I usually don't bake, but when it comes to cookies I do and always regret the amount of sugar and butter I add to make my cookies. Anyways, this took me less than 40 minutes (a new record!) and the cookies tasted really good...and I ate like 10 cookies in less than 20 minutes(new record!). The crispness is what I really like about this cookie. Thank you!

  • @superlazerage And thank you for the report. It's a pleasure to see someone your age who writes so well (and who bakes on top of that!). I'm glad you enjoyed the cookies--we always do.--Betty:)

  • Just put these together in about 15 minutes. I threw in chocolate chips, they were delicious! Thanks. :)

  • looks good i favorite this video so maybe i will make it one day

  • This is a good one to try. Be sure not to overbake it, because that will make it hard. The taste is excellent! Thanks for your comment!

  • can you use rasin bran instead of Wheaties

  • Yes, you definitely can use raisin bran--and the raisins in there are a wholesome, nutritious addition! Thanks for asking!

    --Betty :)

  • coconut is actually healthy for you! It's just received a bad rep from the soy oil industry.

  • I didn't mean to imply that it is unhealthy--It just contains both fat and sugar, and I substituted the pecans to cut calories a little bit. Personally, I prefer the coconut (or both). Thanks for bringing this information up!

  • how many cookies does this make do you remember?

  • If you drop them by rounded teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart, it will make 3 dozen. I made mine a little larger and formed them into circles, so I only got 2 dozen. Thanks for asking!

  • really good video i like this cookies!!! i will try to do it now!!!! ok ok tomorrow hahaaha to go to the supermarket and buy all!!! thx for the video oh im hungry lets go to the supermarket!!

  • I hope you try them--they taste great and they aren't all wasted calories! Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • I really enjoy cookies but seldom eat them because they are usually extremely unhealthy. These cookies aren't exactly "low calorie" but at least they are not empty calories like most other cookies. This has some healthy, beneficial ingredients so I will surely give this a try. They sure look delicious! Thanks Betty =)

  • You're welcome! What I was trying to do was to get away from your average "sugar cookie" with very little nutrition! And, like you said, these have some really healthy ingredients, even though they have the stuff that makes them taste good, too! So, I think you can eat these without feeling too guilty! Thanks for your lovely comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Sorry but I can't believe you eat these calorieful meals, because you have a really good shape. Do you do a lot of sport? Jogging?

  • I workout 4 times a week. I eat *lots* of fruits and vegetables and tuna, leaving not much desire for unhealthy things. I do love good food, but I only eat small portions of foods that are high in fat/sugar. I do work at it, but I find it very easy. If I want something like chocolate cake, I will eat a whole apple first, and then just a small sliver of cake--and I'm completely satisfied. Nothing is ever *off limits*--just sometimes a small portion. It's just a lifestyle choice that works for me.

  • thank you for the detailed answer

  • You're welcome!

    --Betty :)

  • it was just what i was thinking, and i like the sound of both of those ideas :)

  • Okay! I will try to work them in sometime! Thanks for your request!

  • these are really good..thanks Betty!!

  • thank-you :) they look lovely x

  • You're welcome! I hope these are near to what you had in mind. You can use less sugar, or maybe use a sugar substitute that can be cooked, but I don't think you can reduce the butter or flour without losing the consistency of the cookie. I did think of another couple of recipes that may be healthier--carrot bran cupcakes and oat bran cupcakes. Are you interested in either of those? I will keep looking! Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • I'll pack these when I go back to school. =]

  • That's great! I hope you like them! Thanks for commenting!
