@CumulusSkies - I disagree about her hitting too hard. I'm a Corrs fan and used to think that drummers would take her a little more seriously if she hit harder. Now I see she's smacking the crap out of the drums and I love it! Nice and solid! The down side to hitting hard is that you tend to sacrifice "chops", but the driving energy makes up for it. If I knew her personally, I'd suggest she hits rim shots on every 2 & 4. She'd get a nice loud crack from the snare and feel it.

Loved it, but beauty is from ear to ear and a smile would sale it as a front person. Hard to find a picture of Caroline with a smile on her face. She might only have one tooth right in the middle.

@Tudeburger Take a look at Johny Fay of The Tragically Hip. He always looks just as uncomfortable playing. It is not how comfortable you look that is important, it is the energy you are putting into your instrument and how good it feels to play. Look at yourself in the mirror some time while jacking off, and you will understand that you don't have to look good to feel good or enjoy something.

@VirgiWithin She got her inspiration from Karen Carpenter. A surprise to alot of people that Karen was actually a brilliant drummer. Behind the drums is where Karen wanted to be really. There's not many videos available of her showing her best talents on drums but there are some on here that prove the point. ;o) I loved Caroline too in the Corrs but also thought Sharon as good with the violin.

@andre2k60 Strangely enough, I've often thought of her using energy unnecessarily - the amount of upper body and upper arm movement. And lifting her sticks up to her ears on a close-miked kit doesn't seem necessary. That said, you're right - she plays the groove, she drives the song along with minimum of flash, punctuatuing where it's needed. And she sings - which to me shows a sort of 'fifth limb' independence, very rare and difficult to achieve.
She moves a lot, but she's still able to sing without going out of tune, with a great sweet voice. I still think that she wastes a lot of energy, but since that doesn't interfere with the music it doesn't matter so much! =)

Fantasic female drummer. Her inspiration was Karen Carpenter. Check out
The Karen Carpenter Drum workshop. 70's but Karen was remembered for her voice not her drumming and firstly she was a drummer.
