To me, this is one of the great melodies of yesteryear. I find it hauntingly appealing....and Prihoda does it full justice. Thanks for this delight.

Normally, I don't like old recordings because of the crappy quality, no matter how "vaunted" they are. But Prihoda's sweet tone and sincere musicianship totally rise above all that in this recording. A true gem!

Wow, this is sensational violin playing. Thanks for uploading and introducing Vasa Prihoda to me. It shows there are many great violinists besides those that are well known.

Very famous in the first part of the 20th century, this piece was a real sentimental crowd pleaser.

There's an old joke about playing this after a violinist completes the first full phrase of the Beethoven Concerto...

Prihoda is superb!

This guy was great despite the crap recording technology of the time. Every bit as fine a player as Kreisler or Heifetz.
