@PrincessSpearmint Did you ask your doc if it was OK to eat spinach??? Dandelions are not toxic and for 99.999% of people are just fine to eat. If you have medical issues it would be smart to ask you doc b4 you put anything into your piehole... just sayen :)
@Illchangeitlater The most common allergy is to grass pollen, which affects around 95 per cent of sufferers. The pollen is released from mid-May to mid-September but levels peak between June to the end of July.
I have tried it before and I like it. I use a lot of sugar in anything I consume that requires sugar, so after sweetening the dandelion tea, to me it taste great. Haven't made the root coffee yet but will be trying that soon. Anyway, great info Bro. Thanks for sharing.
I have been trying to make a "flour" with the roots by drying and grinding them up. I noticed however that when i cut the roots a milky liquid seeps out. Almost all posionous plants have milky liquid from the roots. Survival experts advise people to never eat plants with milky liquid in the roots, i know im picking dandelions. I was wondering if there are different kinds of the plant? And if i should just ignore the milky liquid? Thank you for your time and video.
Hey man, tangent here, but: Don't keep your fish in that tiny little bowl. Too much ammonia, not enough oxygen. It's a poor, shorter life for a fish. Just a thought.
Anyway, I got huge dandelions in the back. Might make some of that tea today, first time for everything and a good way to get into the whole foraging deal.
ain't that the great thing about the interwebz? You don't have to watch what you don't want....don't worry about posting on this channel.....I post all kinds of crap on my channel, if you don't like a topic don't watch it...IMO anyway.

thanks bud ill give it a shot my sone loves polk salad i dont know the actuall name of the weed but its good. and here we got all kinds of mushrooms mainly murel if thats how you spell it there good too
Very cool man, i've been waiting for this vid. I just cut the grass today but when they grow back im going to try making the Dandelion tea. GREAT VID, THUMBS UP!!!
I would still rinse them, the issue is not whether bugs have been on them, of course theres no avoiding that. But for the sake of some being sanitary I would rinse them off.
Very interesting, when I was a kid my grandparents always had me picking dandelion flowers by the 5 gallon buckets, not for tea, Wine. They made about 20 bottles every year. Its not to bad, as long as you didn't drink too much of it. I am going to try some of the tea. Thanks.
Yep it makes a great brew, the root's are very similiar to parsnip when roasted also.

some salad blends in the store have dandelion leaves in it.
The only time you should not eat them is if you put some sort of poisons in the lawn.
garden333 1 month ago
Here is a known fact: If people have certain conditions or illnesses, you need to check
with your doctor, ask him or her if it's ok to eat live things like dandelions. I know that people
do eat them, and I'm sure that some of them do have medical issues. Don't eat dandelions
before talking to a doctor, you have to be careful what you consume.
I'm also not fooled. I'm sure some of them hated the dandelion, but they are not
going to tell you that, what we see is based on facts, just opinions.
