Rapid Prototype machines have been around for several years. The video mentions the competing products which have support stuctures which need to be removed. If you have ever built model cars or ships you have an idea of the small plastic supports which need to be cut away. This machine does away with that. It takes a 3D CAD model and using an ink jet process builds the prototype thin layer by thin layer from the bottom up.
The NASA Mars mission is going to have one on board to build parts!
Is the idea that someone has had the time and money to 'fake' this video really more plausible than the fact that the within the global mechanical engineering industries they have developed 3D prototyping tools?? Seriously?
I don't understand. This printer was using HP printer ink at 1:47 but it's not an HP Printer brand. I find that a little fake.. But hey, I might be wrong.

3D printers have existed for years, the thing is that now they're "cheap" enough and small enough to fit in an office. Although 39.900 dollars isn't cheap in my standards.

his can't work without gravity, so I don't think this is going to Mars. Oh, the 'competing product' referenced was developed for NASA.

i love to buy it
how much is it ??

its real, but the systems cost as much as a new car and what it prints is relatively soft (hence using it for modeling)
