Its a good song. Yes it sounds just like cold play, however these days its very hard not to sound like someone. Cold play are big plagiarists artist themselves, so... I'm a musician, and I feel if you play well then cool. There is no such thing as "selling out" Your in the business to make money, your a product. You do what you need to pay the bills. I use to talk about the whole "sell out" thing, then I graduated high school, and went into the real world.
