@Thulldorn Mushrooms are no longer available but like you mentioned truffles are. I'm not sure about peyote or Salvia Divinorum. I have seen Salvia signs suggesting that smartshops to sell it though. I would check out Conscious Dreams, they are one of the best smartshops in Amsterdam.

@adventuresineurope turffles are about the same as mushrooms. They taste better in my opinion, like wallnut or whatever it's called in english. Nice visuals and a lot of fun. You can still buy mushroom growkits, not fully grown mushrooms. And almost every shop that sells Amsterdam crap (like tshirts and umbrellas) sells truffles. Peyote and salvia, maybe is some headshops. I haven't seen it in Amsterdam.

I heard coffee shops are going to close their doors to all tourists and only be open to residents with a permit - within the next few months. I hope this isnt so because I have been a few times to amsterdam and I would like to continue going, but I dont think ill be going again if this is the case. Great video by the way D, youre awesome

@Willforbes296532 Actually Amsterdam coffeeshops are open to all adults 18 and older. There are a lot of proposals but no changes for Amsterdam for 2012. We will be posting a new video of all the new proposals and current situation very soon.

Either way, I cant even see what the problem is that the government seem to have. Its probably the safest city ive ever been to - I have never seen any problems or disturbances. @redgloves0 Coffeeshops are open to all adults 18 and over. There is a lot of pressure facing coffeeshops these days. Through 2012 nothing will change in Amsterdam and hopefully the only changes are for the better, like allowing coffeeshops to grow their own cannabis.

@sPxJooPoo We use Priceline quite often. Krasnapolsky Hotel is a good one right in the center. There are a lot more budget minded hotels throughout the city, but it's hard to beat priceline.

@liamnewf10 For hotels we like NH Krasnapolsky for a 5 star comfortable place right at Dam Square, also NH Carlton near Rembrandtplein is a decent 4 star with excellent location. It's always nice to upgrade your room upon arrival for a small fee depending on availability, I highly recommend this. For food, drinks, and fun, 100 euros a day should be good. Enjoy your trip.

@Dethrasher666 Flight prices vary by month of travel. We have paid anywhere from $500-$1000 for airfare and we use priceline for hotel which costs between $80-$100 a night for a 4 or 5 star hotel in the city center.
