It's been confirmed that Shuma-Gorath is in Marvel vs Capcom 3 as downloadable content. Sweet! Dormammu, Shuma-Gorath, and Blackheart are gonna be my mains! I may swap out Blackheart every once in a while for good ol' Juggernaut, though!

He's an ancient god that's appeared briefly in many Marvel series. I think they decided to put him into the games because he's the only 'god'-level character that could even remotely logically fight evenly with the normal characters and because he has just a radical design.
