  • I may be dumb but when a person is taking on the remodeling of their kitchen and they want to preserve some of the pieces while removing others it would certainly help to have a DIY video that's more than talking with a video of what's in place and not how it's removed. I just finished remodeling my kitchen - removing tile counter tops and replacing with granite, refinishing solid cherry cabinets to restore their high quality look and not wanting to paint over them or resurface, etc/

  • This video didn't show me a thing. It only talked about what could be done but never went through the practical steps of showing it being done. For example, lots of talk about what granite was salvageable and that it should be "carefully pried loose" but it's NOT that simple. It would have been far more useful if they had broken this video into a series addressing and demonstrating the deconstruction of a kitchen with these various pieces coming out.

  • @robertheston you dumb

  • C'mon man. It's plain to see the material he's showing is merely for demonstration purposes ONLY. He's not actually advocating removing NEW material. Focus. It's common sense.

  • who would remove new stuff like you are showing? Usually people remove old stuff that is nothing like what you are showing.

  • very good demonstration! thanks!

btw, time for a new video camera, it was trying to auto-focus during the entire video

  • This is so clear. Thank you for this very helpful video (and for everything else Habitat for Humanity does )

  • this is a great series. I am deconstructing a kitchen in Columbus to donate to Habitat, so thanks for taking the time to educate!

  • Wonderful video very knowledgeable thank you for posting!

  • good advise there, maybe do a seperate video and walk through in removing granite worktops as there hardly any info out there on this subject never mind videos.

    good stuff.

  • Thanks for the video, I'll be deinstalling an old kitchen, and it helped to hear the different strategies involved.

  • Very informative, this helped me redo my friends

    kitchen
