Thank you for the comment. To be the Advertising Firms Anthem? The strange thing, but also very cool thing to me is that it has a very negative message of advertising. This one is debatably not so negative but if you look on the website I link to, you can see the other videos, some of which are much more obviously negative.
@villianousjester This is for a very simple reason... The same reason Philip Morris advertises and sells smoking cessation products. For every thing in the world that someone could like, someone also dislikes it. So why not cater to both? Double your audience, double your message, double your money. It's being a double agent. Why stay loyal to one side when you can reap twice the benefits of being loyal to both? Even though the occasional person will notice such as you, majority does not...
@villianousjester It's not so much "very negative" in so much as it's advertising targeting ad agencies... who are "in on the joke". It's pretty clever. And really awesome, to boot.
I always loved this video thanks for posting it.

Well if consumerism is 'evil' or whatever, what are we supposed to do? Is each person supposed to grow his own food and make his own clothes?

Yes, it was created by a major advertising firm to be their anthem. It was for a Nickelodeon animation contest. :P It's one of my personal favorites!
