I make holsters as well. The only thing I can see you might want to think about is taping a dowel to the top of the slide for a site channel. I tried a press but did not work for me, I use the wifes foodsaver vacuum system to form the kydex now.
Make regular holster. Then, take another piece of Kydex and cut holes in it so you can weave MOLLE ties through it. Heat and mold that adapter plate to the back of the holster. Then, attach with chicago screws. I think there's a little quick video on that topic if you hunt through this channel for it.
Ok so how thick is the kydex material you order and what other things do I need to know or get ?, I'm going to buy the kydex and all the other parts , but I still want to buy the HK usp 45 with tlr-1 holster from you ,I'll let you know when to make it.

@aaronscrewme Thanks for the kind words, my friend! The learning curve of this material is really accessible. You can take it as far as you want without a huge financial or time investment. I encourage you to try it out and you'll be hooked before you know it!

Looks great - but man - it's huge! Wear that concealed?
cptexas1 3 months ago
@cptexas1 Well, they've gotten smaller as they've evolved!
PhillyEDC 3 months ago
@cptexas1 Not just smaller, but they sit much closer to the body than other holters, and they don't protrude or imprint through clothing as much

I'm still working on it, a little bit.
My solution so far is like this:
Make regular holster. Then, take another piece of Kydex and cut holes in it so you can weave MOLLE ties through it. Heat and mold that adapter plate to the back of the holster. Then, attach with chicago screws. I think there's a little quick video on that topic if you hunt through this channel for it.

How do you recommend making a holster that is molle compatible attachment-wise?

a .50 cent dore hinge and a section of 2x4 would make you job clamping that down TONS easier!

Hey where did u get the kydex from.??
Acefearkiller 5 months ago
@Acefearkiller EVERYTHING comes from Knifekits.c o m. The foam, the rivets, the rivet dies, the kydex. They have it all, and it's convenient.

hey kick ass craftmanship! just an idea, put a hinge maybe a piano hinge on your press. That would be less cumbersome when you go to clamp
