@JinxOz nice try troll, it's a known atmospheric phenomenon. what you are seeing is sunlight reflecting off ice crystal faces that are constantly being oriented by the developing electric field just above the [cumulonimbus] top. Then there is a discharge in the cloud, and the field collapses momentarily, and the crystals begin to realign again.

It s only the sun that was covered by a storm cloud ( very low to the ground , dark n at the bottom side of this video ) . When the sun light penetrate at the edge of those cloud then u will normally see this !

Not distorted droplets? A few different physicists say it's probably light patterns made by aligned ice crystals (similar to 'sun dogs' or parhelia.) The lightning inside the clouds is suddenly changing the direction of all the ice crystals.

Probably the cloud is a thunderstorm. During each lightning bolt the electrostatic fields collapse, then they rise again before the next flash. E-fields should distort the spherical shape of suspended water droplets. With these clouds being backlit by the sun, you seem to be in just the right position to see the visible changes in the cloud produced by high voltage.
