I think the idea that Grunge is a genre is just stupid. How can you listen to Nevermind, Dirt, Ten and Badmotorfinger and say they all belong to the same genre? Those records sound nothing a like and those bands sounded nothing a like. People need to be far more open minded about Grunge as most of the bands were just rock/metal/punk bands and there's no reason you can't like Grunge and 80s metal.
