I think you did a great job and I appreaciate it but I think it´s ridicilous that so many people say they learned the songs by "ear" but every single note is like on the sheet or just a few changes--if you are that good why are you not making your own songs and get world-famous----but anyway good job!!

@Godiiiiiiiiii You obviously have never played an instrument for any long period of time; after an indefinite period most PROFICIENT musicians can tell the scale and notes a song is played in. If a person really liked a song, who is to say that they didn't take time to write the song down after learning it by ear.

@MrPoopyhatt well im playing piano since 8 years....im not saying that is a very very long time but still enough to judge somethinkg at that level...and most people who really play by ear put their own different notes in there so it sounds better for them and btw i never said that he didnt play it by ear..i said "many people" and if really can play meldoies like that by your ear you really can write your own GREAT songs as well but like i said still awesome played....

@LoongChicken if only that song. 300-450 hours if u never have played a piano. 100-200 hours if u have been practicing in a year but nothing serious, like 20 min each week. 24-48 hours if u are playing seriously much every day after been practicing over a year and played in 1 and a halv,

I noticed that you didnt use scores...

You play the first accords in wrong order...

i noticed that in other videos too. if you would play it in the order yann tiersen wrote the piece down it would be very much better.

Wow, looks like heaps of people like my playing, Yipeee! :D By the way, the final part is NOT composed by Dave Thomas, it is present in the Yann Tiersen's recording of Rue des Cascades that I based this piece on ( The part is rather difficult to make out unless you've got good hearing) All in all, its all Yann Tiersen's Composition.

I'm learning this piece, got the sheet music, but like you say the last part isn't in the Dave Thomas original. I love the last bit, but I can't play by ear to save my life. Is there anywhere I can get hold of a transcript of it, or even anyone who can post what the notes are?

@EvilGenius01 That's not at all what he said. He said the Dave Thomas did not COMPOSE the last part. It was, however, present in Dave Thomas' video because that is something Yann Tiersen composed.
