That's a good idea, just before the kick animation hits you you do a crouching mk.. This will definitely be helpful since executing this move is hard since nearly everyone online jumps out of it.

You can do the last part of it as one, I think. So the combo is basically light punch press, negative edge light punch, back+lk+hp.
