Para para is a kind of synchronized dancing originating in Japan, usually danced to some upbeat techno or eurobeat or hyper-Jpop. The arm movements are complicated, but the leg movements are usually simple. I think this is a little bit of why it's popular among teenage-girls, because it can be danced to in heels or platform boots.
