  • The large parrots (macaws etc) can literally bite off your finger! Usually it sint recommended doesnt stretch it enough. DO NOT HAVE A LARGE PARROT AND CHILD IN THE SAME FAMIL OR WHATEVER!!

  • hello miss can you tell me if you know anywhere that are low price birds that are rainbow and adorable

  • im 8 and ive got a parkeet/budige and after 2 weeks it got trained but i was wondering can i get a gold and blue macaw?

  • @mikethung

your much too young to take care of a bird like that and youve only had the parakeet for 2 weeks. thats not nearly enough time to become a good bird handler

  • @hyuga48 thanks for the advice

  • @mikethung

    Fuck no mikethung!!!

  • I remember about 2 or 3 years ago my neighbor was bitten by his pet bird because it was sick and he didnt know that it was sick yet and when he picked up the bird it bit him so hard that there was a hole right through his thumb! the bird normaly loved him but it mustve been so stressed out from being sick

  • My pet bird its a parakeet it bites Alot i wish i had a trainer to teach me

  • there is many webites you can go to (:

like birdtricks[.] com take away the [ ]

  • do these birds fly away if you take them outdoors?

  • not if you didnt cut off their flight wings

  • @MotorcycleK9 if they are not tamed well

  • hmmmmmmmmm.....didnt pet land get busted for selling puppies from puppy farms???? fod for thought

  • A large parrot has the bite capacity to remove a small child's finger. You should never get a large bird if you have a small child. If you already have a large bird, you should supervise all contact a child under the age of 14 years old has with the bird.

  • ugggg!!! I am very interested in getting a bird, and i am trying to do as much research as i can, but i HATE how these videos are cut into so many 1 minute sections like this... :(

Does anyone know of some good sites or books or something i might wanna read??

  • Join my group on Yahoo Groups called "Parrot Flock" and you can learn all sorts of things. You should also read "Parrots for Dummies" by Nikki Moustaki, which is an excellent book for learning about parrots, and she covers most every topic you can imagine.I am starting a parrot help podcast this month, and will announce how to get it on Parrot Flock when it is ready to be downloaded, so join there ASAP. It will be free, and will have loads of information on parrots.

  • i doesnt matter if your tall but since its your first bird . i reccomed the parakeet finch, and canary

  • okay im 11 and im pretty tall do you reconmend me to get a large bird.

  • No. If you haven't had a bird before, start with a small bird first and learn everything you can about them. Large parrots require a lot of your attention, as well as many other things people just don't consider when thinking about getting their first bird. You should read books, look them up online, and learn as much as you can before ever considering to get a large bird.
