Also why is travelling at an insignificant fraction of the speed of light an insurmountable challenge to photography? When something is moving fast you track it, from a distance. Planets move very fast, but we can take pictures of them using distance and tracking.
I think he could manage to photograph it better than you could manage to spell manage (IF he was there with a camera and it flew by).

Going to another dimension could be done by exploitation of space-time dilation due to a sudden increase in ifraluminal speed. Such would effectively open a sort of rupture in Space-time and allow a craft inside. suddenly cutting the speed at the same rate in this dimension will open yet another rift that will bring you back to this one. This is called slipspace or Hyperspace. This "aircraft" you see here is incapable of this feat.
