I saw Poco on Don Kirschner's "IN CONCERT' in 1972? with the Allman Brothers. I didn't even know Poco was playing Stagecoach until I saw a flyer laying around at work today. Had I known I would have gone just to see Poco (only 20 miles from me). After seeing the flyer I punched in 'Poco Stagecoach' in Youtube and listened (on a stereo earplug). OMG, it sounded horrible. Then I came home and put on nice headphones and, OMG, it sounds GREAT, Can't believe Richie can still hit those notes.
The lady who came out (in the pink ball cap) at the end of "Mama Don't Dance" is country music LEGEND LYNN ANDERSON ... why didn't you get more of her on camera. She did her own show the day before. Jim M. & Kenny Loggins wrote one of her hit songs, "Listen to a Country Song"
This is pure amazing Poco. All the greats of Poco coalesced into this supergroup: Messina, Furay, Cotton, Young, Grantham, Schmit, Sundrud, Lawrence (Grantham's replacement...won't find a better drummer anywhere)...this show should be professionally mixed and released, and sent to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as proof of the greatness of this band.
Jim Messina. 'nuff said.
