  • Holy crap! That 128 mph trap speed was exactly the same as my uncles procharged C5 Z06 back when it dyno'd 528 RWHP! He's well over 600 RWHP now and he is trapping 132+ mph in the 1/4. I have to see his time slip b/c I think he broke 133 mph actually. I have to ask him. Anyway, awesome mustang man!

  • mean stang man!

  • just curious. how do you change the psi in superchargers? or do you just buy them at different psi's? i want to get a supercharger but i just dont know much about them

  • @TheZohaun well depends what kind. roots style and twin screws just need different size pulleys to change the psi. the centrifugal ones like prochargers use pulleys too but its pulley teeth dependant to change boost. so like 48 teeth gives you 6-7pounds but 42 gives you 12pounds or something like that but the teeth on the crank pulley for those are a factor as well for some ratio i believe. im more familiar with turbos and twin screws since i have dealt with them more in my work experience

  • @04mustangsvtcobra oh okay i see. so basically you just have to buy some parts for them? like a new pulley for a kenne bell 2.1? thats the one that i personally am interested in. i love the whine of a kenne bell :D

  • @TheZohaun basically new pulleys will do the trick with adding more boost. smaller pulleys though. they spin faster, thus more boost. just be careful with belt slippage. i had so much trouble with that when i ran my stage 5 ported eaton

  • @04mustangsvtcobra okay well thanks for the help!

  • wow.. not bad time

  • I am still waiting for the 9.92@163 faggot

  • that was my cobra when it had a KB. i dont have it anymore, i have a TT kit on it, and i dont race it, its not worth it. i lose more traction with the power i have now than with the KB. i have a dyno sheet from when i did a pull on a conservative tune when i installed the TT on it.

  • and way to call me a faggot when you have a civic. thats really cool

  • im sorry but who keeps sayin homo?? Not I. i bet u wish i was a fag tho especially one who drove a civic. prolly make u feel like the big man when ur tryin to pick me up.

  • I love how people love to say faggot on every stang video. U still missin daddy or u got HOMOcidal tendencies??

  • Just pointing out the fact that the car is a low 11 second car at 128mph. No more, No less. NOT a 9 second car like he quoted. Timeslip to prove it otherwise

  • do you not know the difference between an S197 Mustang GT and the 03-04 SVT Cobra?? I havent seen this car in a long time, idk what its running now but im guessing its going faster than this today as we speak.

  • Damn, spun off the line bad and still got a wicked time, is that all that is done to the car is just the supercharger?

  • had minor engine work, nothing big. rear end was built, kenne bell supercharger, exhaust, and suspension. thats pretty much all. the S197 mustangs can go pretty fast with a few cheap mods. nothing major needs to be done to it for you to hit low 11's and possibly break into the 10's

  • That is great, one thing I do not get though is this one guy did a vid of his 05 he said he had a whipple and it made 475 to the wheels nearly what you have but he got only 12.8? Does that sound right to you?

  • it all depends on what else has been done. he probably has the stock rear gears, suspension, and hasnt done anything to the engine to hold the power and make more. the engine in this vid can hold more psi and power because its built more. but i wouldnt have gone with whipple for the new mustangs. he shouldve gone kenne bell, vortech, or procharger. the whipple 3.4L is the only one i would use for the GT500 without a doubt

  • Like your car but a whipple. He says it was a 5 speed but I find it hard to believe he is getting that bad of a time with 475RWHP.

  • well its a pretty heavy car. and the GT500 needs a 5.4L to get it moving because its like 4600lbs or more. and on top of that, most people use the Whipple 3.4L supercharger over any other because it gets you the most power. but i wouldnt go with a whipple on a mustang gt or a cobra. kenne bell does the job better than whipple in my opinion

  • It wieghs the same as yours, s197 right? The GT500 wieghs around 3900 give or take 100. Let me put it to you this way, guy did a exhasut, cam swap, and head swap on his LS1 and he refused to race a kenne bell cobra. I agree from what I have seen kenne bell is the way to go.

  • yea all GT's weight the same, but the GT500 weighs a LOT more. its over 4000lbs. i think Z06's weigh around 3900lbs. but an LS1 with a head swap, cam, and exhaust should be able to break into the mid 11's and give you quite an increase of power. but i think a KB cobra vs the LS1 with the mods would be a good competition. what car was the LS1 in?

  • The corvette C5 base, not the Z06. 1998 to 2002 camaro. 1998-2002 transams and fire birds. 2004 GTO. Holdens, and some truck. Elfin MS8 steamliner.

  • oh i know what cars the LS1 engines were in, i meant what car does that guy you know have that has the LS1. sorry for the miscommunication lol

  • Oh, a trans am. Oops.

  • i would say thats the biggest competition that the mustangs face to this day on the street. vettes are really easy for most cobras to walk on. but for some reason a trans am is the equivalent of most modded mustangs

  • Because guys who role in camaros know a nice car when they see one but are not the shrapest tool in the tool box. Guys who role in vettes are ether broke because lets face it LS1 vettes are expensive or they are like guys in camaros. Guys in transams are smart. They know what needs to be done to go faster and likely have more invested in the car. In all seriousness it just depends on what guy you race because I have noticed more not stock transams than camaros excluding 80s and lower camaros.

  • i have lots of respect for trans ams. i wouldnt mind having one myself. there are just too many camaros by me. but they seem too big for me, like bulky. there is one that i worked on that had a 402 with the biggest cam ive ever seen. the idle on it was so rough, sounded like it was close to stalling. and his T/A raised the front wheels a good few inches. they are a beast of a car!

  • I do somewhat. I lost a little respect for GM when the stuffed the corvette motor in the camaro and transam to compete with Ford.

  • his engine couldve taken more power with a better tune. but it was just a street tune that he was running on. im sure he couldve hit the high 10's with a new pulley and a tune

  • definetly close to breaking 10's.
