I don't believe this is so. This episode came after the one with Dogbert day. It's retroactive continuity. They change the facts to fit whatever story they want to tell.

For example, in the episode with the charities, Alice says she has a huge budget to spend on shoes. This episode comes well before this episode, where she says she doesn't like shoes.
