FULL REVIEW: Revlon Photo Ready Airbrush Foundation

Wish I would have found this a while ago. I have tried EVERYTHING to make this work. There are so many good reviews that I figured it was just my application. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. What a waste!

I find the compact version of this foundation acts the same as you described in your video. I would recommend both be skipped. I bought the photo ready blush in pink the same day and applied the blush three times and still felt it left no color on my skin; I couldn't see it and I am pale and not used to wearing a lot of make up so I would have noticed color. I think revlon needs to rethink this line of make up. I did go back and pick up a foundation called Fit and so far I love it.

I also noticed the sinking into my pores effect and it seemed to pickup imperfections in my skin such as pores and flaky skin??....I didn't know my skin was that bad. Honestly I was looking for something with medium coverage after years of using mineral powder foundation, I tried this and it made my skin look terrible, porous, and flaky dry. Mind you I have normal skin and cleansed and prepped it with moisturizer. It looked very heavy and old. My skin is not that hideous

@PandoraEast I was horrified when I itched my face to see the foundation rub off under my finger and see it left in my pores. I nearly threw it away the same night I bought it.

I've had this for a few weeks now and it doesn't do that to my skin. I don't use a primer it anything and it literally makes my face look flawless...I'm sorry to hear it does that to you...maybe your bottle was a bad batch? Sorry to hear that....=(

use a primer and then put it on. you have to leave it on for 5-7 minutes before continuing with concealer. finish off with just a LITTLE amount of powder of just skip powder like i do.

I have it at home, only used a few times, but mainly purchased it for the formal nights on the cruise ship. I didn't really like the look of it on, but the photos came out beautiful and flawless, and they were taken a couple of hours after applying and having dinner beforehand. So photo times I would wear it, but not as an everyday product.

LOL the way you said it was funny b/c I can definitely, withoutta doubt, believe that there are products out there ont he market today that get all of this hype and the price(s) just outrageously high, yet the quality sucks. It's ssad how inferior the wuality is nowadays, I'm grateful for this review b/c I love Revlon, esplly the ColorStay, it's one of my three staple-foundations. Agree with you completely ! ! ! I was so excited for this foundation and I was soooo disappointed! Yuck....it sunk into my skin and made me look like I had age spots or like I needed to exfoliate or something! Hated it! I will never buy this again!

We don't have this foundation in NZ yet but I hate the original Photoready foundation with a passion! It did the same thing, horrible to apply, sunk into all my pores, and you got major tide marks in the middle of your face! The Colorstay is the best drugstore foundation out! Revlon need to stop trying to improve on what is already the best!

@Grayce946 I find that the best foundations are revlon colorstay, Annabelle skin true, and MUFE matte velvet plus....make sure you are using a primer if it always happens, and if nothing fixes it try waxing your upper lip area :)

I totally understand what you mean!! Ive used foundation that has had the same effect, made my pores look horrible and filled in =[ and my skin looked greasy and mine melted in the same place on my face too. Damn shitty foundations..

I like the Revlon Colorstay and the Revlon Photo Ready foundations but I just can't seem to get the right color. It's really frustrating. Every color I get seems to be either too light, too "grey", too dark, or too pink. Ugh. I'm trying to match it to my neck which is pretty light and quite yellow compared to the foundations I've tried putting on my face. Typically the lighter the shade the pinker the shade--which sucks. Even mixing colors I can't get the right shade--I'm close to giving up. =/

I tried it at Shoppers and I squirted some on my hand it just came out like how it came out on yours. And I just found it to wet. Now I know from your review that it is so not worth it, though, you'd think it would be cause it's Revlon, which Revlon is a pretty good brand, I've never had a problem with their stuff before, but the foundation is just a waste.

I put it on today and didn't have any problems. I'm going into 12 hours now and it looks great. I didn't set it or use a primer either. It was also 9$ in target too which was nice. I don't know, it's probably just my skin. I like this one better then my 30$ foundation.

I think you should do more reviews on other foundation also. Not a lot of gurus do drug store foundation reviews. <3

OK I get the beige polka dot face no matter what moisturizer, foundation, primer or what I use. NOTHING keeps it from sinking into my pores which are not abnormally huge or anything. I have SUPER dry skin and am very good at moisturizing so I don't know what to do about the dot syndrome, I"ve wasted SOO much $ on foundations and primers. Is there a trick or cure or whatever I'm missing?

These make up companies really need to leave well enough alone. I can not use the Original Photo Ready because is is not good for oily and break out prone skin. I have never tried it, but I know from others that if you have that kind of skin it is not good for it. Now, when I saw this on T.V. I thought, wow, this is not going to be good, something light and airy,that is going to just gather and not set well. If its not broke, don't fix it folks.

For sure this is not for oily skin types....I was going to review them, but no need...lol I can you link your video as a ref. I am going to do the maybelline one though...I tried it on my hand and loved the texture and SPF smell, BUT it did rub off when I brushed the back of my hand against my itching nose..we shall see.

I tried this on late at night at walmart, found it didnt cover very well, i get a little oily on the chin area so the 1/2 hr i got to wear this for wouldnt have shown that plus it was late at night and i washed it off as soon as i got home. Thanks Stacey i wont be buying this !!
