A good tip for getting that sharp 180 turn is to pull your nose into the turn hard and as you hit 90 degrees decelerate your blades as this will actually turn you faster. Be careful though not to get to close to the ground. Just accelerate your blades as you come out of the turn and regain speed in no time.

Something pointed out in this video is how every vehicle in Russia except for the Jets, I mean, from Anti-air, Tanks, IFV's and even the choppers are worst and most of the time problematic.

Most US vehicles have clear sight while RU cameras are greenish and dirty.

Russian IFV's and AA's have tracks so they move slowly, and cannot go on water, and they have the same health, that's a load of bullshit and big inbalance over the gameplay

DICE not only needs to fix the bugs but also this type of shit

@Draxis32 True the US vehicles tend to be faster, more manoeuvrable and have cleaner sites however some of the Russian vehicles are more heavily armoured. For example a viper will take 6 points of damage per hit from a choppers or AA tank's cannon whilst a Havoc will only take 4 points of damage. A tracked AA tank and IFV may not be as fast, but they can turn a lot quicker, useful when in narrow streets or when trying to track a chopper. They are balanced, you just have to use them differently.

IFV's and AA's need to move very quickly to avoid hot zones full of engineers with RPG/SMAW and evade shots from tanks and other IFV's/AA's. And when you move slowly and take the same damage, you are done.

Russian need to have their camera's cleaned off and balanced now.

here's a tip: helios have unlimited ammo, but if you fire off half the load or more you might find yourself running out of ammo as it reloads when doing another straffing run. Better to fire off all the rounds during each straffing run so that you'll be ready for the next run. This is true for the pilot and gunner. Great tutorials, watched them all. -greenbean.

@XeroGees the havoc is more heavily armoured. The viper takes 6 points of damage per hit from a choppers or AA tanks cannon where as the Havoc only takes 4.

Don't get me wrong, I can fly a Viper like a Z-11W; but when I get in a Havoc I just get creamed by Jet Strafes.

@D3ADxFORTUN3 the havoc does have more armour if the viper gets hit by an RPG its gets disabled at 48% health a Havoc goes down to 56% health when hit by RPG´s

@azorian2 i've found that the main pro is that in the havoc it is easier to lose speed and hover than in the viper, which is useful when you have a skilled gunner or want to shake off a jet

Flying a helicopter is not as difficult as it seems. I would say that it is very simple. All of these videos provide little benefit than just a game in a helicopter for the pleasure of a good flight.

hovering is possible but it is a double edged sword. you can mow down enemies up and close but makes you an easy hit for rockets and sniper rifles. yes bullets can penetrate glass and hurt/kill you.

Has anyone else noticed the difference in aiming for the havoc and the viper? With the havoc, I tend aim with the bottom of the crosshair and using the top part of the crosshair with the viper. Is that normal? Or is that a glitch? The crosshair for the Little Bird and Z11 also tend to get screwed up when switching from main gun to guided missile. I am unsure whether it has something to do with my graphic settings 1920x1080 with GTX 580.

wow doing those in the trees are pretty sneaky, with a gunner its really a big pain for the opposing team, that gunner cannon near a tank or an infantry is basically a kill already if its aimed and shoot right! good piloting .

I've had no issues with the "circle strafing" or the "180 turn" in the Havoc. If you go into either one of the maneuvers correctly you can do it just as smooth and quickly as a Viper.

@Grimfire never as smoothly as the Viper that is for sure, but I have managed to circle strafe since this video but it was A LLLOOTT slower than how the fast the Viper can circle strafe, same thing for the 180 turn.

@elitegamerbros I think my success with the Havoc is because of my throttle control. I just seem to be able to perform very well in the chopper. You have to take into the account of the fat-ass chopper and compensate.

@huejasshole If a heli is camping and not letting you take off, try to use stationary AA to take it out because if it is in range of heat seekers already it will be in range of the stationary AA's main cannons/heat seekers if you have that unlocked. Stingers can also help.

@Malacite I don't know how to switch seats on PS3 but I can tell you the quickest way to gain xp for attack choppers is to befriend a good pilot and be his gunner.

Wouldn't keeping the throttle up while pulling up make you lose your speed faster? I'm not as experienced with helicopters but this seems like common sense to me.

@n00b5un173d I would think so but when you are not hitting the throttle in BF3, the chopper is still throttling up enough to keep you hovering so I think that's enough power to slow you down enough when pitching up to make an extremely tight (90 degrees or more) angle turn.
