Here are some hints, ①the character(I am not sure who, but guess Cara) equips Bone Armor ②he used the trick of the X-magic bug - the X-magic spells cannot be used on the different subjects at the same time, which means in this case he cast the Drain Sword Magic on those Bosses ③with the "combine" ability, he cast "Kiss of Blessing(MaidnKiss+Revivify)" on enemies which restricts them to only physcal attacks. Make sense? Hope you enjoy this trick yourself :)
I would like to know the full setup on how to perform this, as I believe I not only have FF Collection for the PS1, but wish to get FF5 Advance as well. This could help in the extra dungeon of the GBA version.

敵に魔法剣ドレインをかけ、それをボーンメイル(ポイズンブレスが吸収されているのはボーンメイルの毒属性吸収効果)で逆吸収している。敵の行動は祝福のキッスで物理攻撃オンリーにしている。
小人になっているのも、こちらの物理防御力を0にし、効率を良くすると言う意味がある。
原理としては、ホーリーやフレアなどの単体魔法が全体化するバグの正体である、魔法の範囲･対象を連続魔2撃目の行動のものにするバグを用いて、無理やりエクスデスに魔法剣ドレインをかけているというもの。

I can't read Japanese, but he has som vampiric status in addition to Mini on Butz/Bartz, and he cast "Berserk" on ExDeath.
