  • @Sat13K8 30 USD?! I got mine for...-sigh- $7-8

  • Just got a chinese 5x5x5 from a market for 90 HKG its a bit stiff but i will lube it :)

  • nope, i got the yj 6x6 and it is amazing, the only mod i had to do was glue the pins in. it doesn't click that bad

  • That's an abomantion!!!!

  • lol i was back in china visiting for 5 weeks and the transation fails r so funny.... and the words after DIY just say DiY....i think.... my chinese isnt that good....

  • Can you put a Link in Description ????

  • i live in HK and i buy about 1 cube a month from china but they have pretty bad grammar

  • You know. Im not a very racist person but when i see the amount of lasiness and lack of creative effort that went into trying to make these cubes...... well its getting pretty hard to restrain myself

  • I thought china is communist so like they tell you when you can play and watch tv and where you work and shit is that right?

  • @Ms09890 uhm no... a simple wikipedia search will teach you what today's communism is... it's not what you think.

  • YJ ?

  • YJ?

  • i went to this chinese toy store in chinatown calgary and got this 5x5 cube its really small like a eastsheen and has textured stickers and a way differnent in internals

  • how much for a 5x5?

  • Where did you buy this one?

  • it looks like they took a v-cube 5 thrown in a chinese box

even the words are the same

  • Nice puzzle Izovire

  • not always true, diy are cheaper than rubiks brand, but are better in that case cheap cubes are great

  • you say that the official v-cubes dont have screws and springs...... ya they do! thats one of the main reasons why the v-cube 5 is so much better than the rubiks 5x5

  • no they dont.

  • Okay... you try tightening or loosening a v-cube then...

  • verdes uses, springs 2....

  • @izovire my copy 5x5 is rounded corners yj brand

  • @izovire he didn't say it was easy he said it was there

  • @tuckereccher they have rivets and springs

  • @tuckereccher I have an Eastsheen white 5x5 which does have a screw on the red center piece. But the other centers don't have screws which is epic.

  • Comment removed

  • the label (made in china) tells me everything

  • There is a x8 mod where with a Rubik's brand 4x4 and a V-Cube 7 and some effort, you can have a clickless 8x8x8 cube.

  • not just one v-cube 7 though. it needs extra wing parts to make the extra layer.

  • wtf wat happened to the 8x8?¿?¿?¿?

  • 8x8 is much more hard to make...

Because the machanism of the 8x8 is ...very diffcult io make...

  • what brand is that?i think that is not yongjun..i think a dian sheng?am i right or wrong?..

  • description update fail

  • Good catch!

    June 2010 ...perhaps?

  • i hope!

  • whare do u buy one

  • wow, copied the box!

  • Is the knock off chinese 5x5, better then the eastsheen 5x5?

  • @a510592 Wayyy better

  • @14greenboy14 lol, I'm sure it's way better, I don't use the eastsheen anymore....that was a long time ago XD

  • I am very interested in owning a 9x9 cube. But I have brought knock off cubes off Ebay and I might buy this chinese 9x9 cube, if the price is cheap enough.

  • 9x9's are coming out in august. there was a 2 month delay due to a problem with the molds so they couldnt case pieces properly.

  • Wonder how much that will be...

The "cube" will end up being so round, haha.

  • I think I know why they still haven't released 9x9x9. In official 7x7x7, the centerpieces with mirror counterpart tend to pop just fall out very easily when trying to cut too much corner. However, in 9x9x9, there are three more times centerpieces with a mirror counterpart which increased popping rate A LOT for cubes using V-cube mechanism.

  • Someone mentioned the using Aluminum instead of plastic for mega cubes... maybe to help the pieces not bend as much... If the petaminx is possible the 11x11 should be cake... lol

  • Oh...I mentioned aluminum.

  • mr verdes should sue then

  • @shippo7890 if he does then erno rubik can sue all the other cube company for taking his idea

  • Verdes will be fucked if this chiniese shit becomes more popular :(

stop post vids about it or we will never hold a v cube 11 in our hands omg -.-

  • Thanks! I do realise the situation of china copying the V-cubes, even I do not like what they're doing. I posted it to give comparison and I still do not suggest purchasing copied V-cubes

  • It could be better after then . but it POP's alot

  • are you going to the hong kong open?

  • On July 18-19 for hong kong open... for 3x3 and 5x5...

In the Shenzhen open I'll participate in 3x3, 5x5 and 7x7

  • why no 4x4 and 6x6?

  • To be honest I haven't learned the parity cases for even cubes...

  • haha i go to hong kong every six months and i havent went to the now store before....

  • argh and I want to go to the Hong Kong open! but I have a very important exam coming up...

  • maybe you could go to the macau open? it's the week after... or the Shenzhen open

  • YES they made 2*2 to 9*9 from V cube construction (I don't sure they made 8*8

  • i saw u in HK open u were making diy or putting sticker but when 3x3 starts y don't u go there

  • I still did the 3x3, I didn't want to wait in line so I waited until the end.

  • Looks what you've done! You've spread rumors about 9x9x9 and now everyone's asking for if it has come out!

  • Yeah I kinda did help spread them... but I'm still a Rumoree like you! I think the original Rumorer is in china somewhere.

  • Well, if the original rumorer is lying, then it's bad indeed. If not then I wonder what size would that 9x9x9 be. Certainly it has to be quite a lot larger since if they'd make them with small parts, it would most likely break.

  • Does the core fit in the V-Cube 5?

  • No... the inner cubies are more narrow on the chinese version... I tried with the 6x6 and it locks up like crazy

  • its funny i dont get mad at it i think its hilarious

  • just asking, are the screws adjustable unlike the real v-cube 5?

  • where do you get these chinese big cubes from?

  • The guy who took years to plan it out, the design and everything and finally 8 months later these chinese people come along and screw up everything. I mean c'mon they didn't even come up with a good slogan for the outside box. They just copied what's written on the V-Cubes box. In my opinion they suck. And furthermore if the chinese 7x7x7 already sucks for speedcubing, i'm guessing the 9x9x9 will suck even more!...

  • i don't get it. Isn't this supposed to be copyrighted or have some kind of a legal fee that had to be payed to MR. Verdes.

It really sucks that these chinese are taking the money from Mr. Verdes.

  • The copyright should be international... and have a certain period of legality... the chinese 7x7 has a different core build... only slightly different making it somewhat exempt from that copyright...

Something different is the Patent verdes got... I think it has permanant legality... and individual countries have different patents... China does not have this patent... that is why I can't compete with a V-6 or V-7 in the Hong Kong Open

  • Why did you write it twice?

  • but seriously, i had no idea you couldn' compete with the v-cubes in China. But do they let you use the crappy knockoffs anyway?

PS: if the 9x9x9 is coming out, do you know if it will be included in championships around the world and not only in China??

  • The WCA won't allow it..

  • Actually... I found out there will be V-cube 6 and 7 competitions in Shenzhen in August... I'll participate... Mwahahaha.... but I doubt if the 9x9 comes out it will be allowed in competition,

  • hah, true, most people don't weven watch the video. my dad was at the store hesturday, I wish gthat they had 9x9s there. maybe i october when hes back

  • do u own a 9x9?

  • Did I upload a 9x9 video yet? lol

  • well, think about it, if you got a 9x9 and uploaded a video right away, everytone would be pestering you to buy it snd where you got it and everything

  • people already do that lol... most questions people ask can be answered if they look at a couple of my other videos... like the store where I make purchase

  • maybe the 6x6 didn't work because they forgot a little trick that mr. Verdes did. what he did was made the corners and edges slightly bigger than the centers. which is what made it more stable.

  • Whew, I'm chinese...but I live in Indonesia

    I feel a bit embarrassed...

but I'm planning to buy the origianl V-Cube ones...

    whew...

    _WhiteLynx_

  • im chinese and vietnamese but i live in the US

  • do china made 6x6 ?

  • nope

  • No... Because the chinese attempt fell apart too easy

  • did you buy from internet ?

  • Locally.

  • ages 3+, yea im sure alot of 3 year olds are walking around solving that

  • rofl

  • hahahahahaha lol

  • My daughter can kinda solve a 7x7... there is though, a young Korean girl 7 years old that solves a 7x7 in 9 minutes. Pretty good for small hands vs. a large cube

  • were did you get thoghs cubes

  • hknowstore...

Please check out my other videos about the shop... thakns

  • v-cubes use springs though... why did china fail then? :o

  • pegs? Springs? the V-cube rotation of the outer layer makes no noise indicating any springs... but the chinese version makes that noise of springs... hmmmm...

  • i disassembled my v-cube 5 the other day cuz 3 center caps were wayyyy popped out. the minute my cube fell apart, to the core, the center caps fell out. i tried to tighten the screws, but i cant for some reason.. so i just glued them down with krazy glue... i can see the spring when i move the screw =] plus when u pull on the core it feels stretchy like a spring. apparently theyre made with springs =p

  • but v-cubes DO have screws and springs

  • china is so disgusting.... copying V-Cube company. V-Cube worked so hard to invent this structure, and now china is copying it? WOW.....

  • I think V-company has better prices for their cubes than China now... There was a rumor (I think rumor) about Meffert's wanting to sell chinese made 7x7's and giving a certain percentage to V company... since mefferts manufactures in China I think... Also, the Hong Kong open is in July... V-6 and V-7 will not be included because of this ordeal. Atleast I was told

  • also v cubes is having a sale right now and i bought my v5 the other day for 22$ us and 17$ shipping

  • v cube already patented these they must have found a way around

  • I'm not in China so I wouldn't know, but since thay use a different core (worse quality :P) they'll say it's legal. BS if you ask me...

  • you got that right... lol there's an annoying spring sound... and my core broke in 1 drop... I've dropped my real V-cube down an escalator and that made it rotate better... lololol

The 9x9 may come in june... a few more adjustments need to be made before making the master molds, I just wonder if they will come assembled or unassembled... it would take a factory worker 2+ hours to construct and sticker... ouch!

  • rofl...

  • Ok, please make a vid soon, i rly want to see it...

  • Do you have the 9x9x9??!!

  • If I had it I would have a video the same day I get it

  • I think their 9x9x9 would wear down soon. Verdes suggested to use aluminum to prevent it.

  • Interesting! I do have an aluminum 3x3 and it seems okay... it makes a lot of noise though lol... I don't think the 9x9 would wear down so quick... depends on how large the cubies would be... if made the same size as 7x7 cubies... of course a larger cube and more pillow...

Hopefully I'll find out mid June...

  • Hopefully. Oh...Verdes suggested using extra aluminum during manufacturing in V-cube 8 and 9 but make cubes out of aluminum for V-cubes 10 and 11.

  • I would think so... considering the triangular shafts of the corner pieces becoming more thin as each larger cube is made..

What about modding? lol sand paper on aluminum????

  • I don't know. Aluminum is less flexible than plastic so reassembling larger cubes may be quite a challenge.

  • i have a chinese 7x7

  • Looks almost exactly like an Easthseen 5x5. strange.

  • 9x9x9?!?

  • 9x9x9 YES YES YESSSS AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

  • China was just waiting to copy the real V cube 9 in May

  • Grr! Not another nock-off!!!!!

But the 9x9?!?!?! I nearly fainted when I heard that!!

  • I suggest you get one when they are released at the end of June.

  • At least when cube4you copied Meffert's they fixed Meffert's problems

  • there is springs in v-7

  • i know another store in china its the place chinese version of cube4you

  • cube4you is chinese

  • i meant 9x9x9?

  • you can get a 5x5x5?

  • kk thank you.. but do u know any places that sell twisty puzzles/ cubes in china? i will be going there soon..

  • hk now store

  • if i go to china can i buy them there?

  • I'm not sure where you can buy them... maybe in the future I will know more about this...

  • where did u get them link me to them somehow

  • I bought them at HKnowstore... I don't know where they are online

  • Comment removed

  • can you order it from their website?

  • does the core work on real v5

  • Nice review =)

  • does it pop often?

  • Yes it pops much more often than a V-cube. It pops like a V-cube 7

  • 9x9x9?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?

  • OMG!!???!?!?!!!??!??!

  • hahah do you know if it's been made yet?

  • Yes, or so I've heard, but haven't seen them yet... I was told 3 months before the fake 7x7's were released that they would be released, so I'm sure the 9x9's are coming too...

  • no it was at 6 am wen u did, it for u 6pm now its 2 13 pm u 2 13 am

  • lol I made this at 2pm my time

  • so u r sleepin now and u made this yesterday then on the 11 or last night u made this i mean lol plz answer lol

  • why did they skip 8x8?

  • Because they had a difficult time making the molds... the 6x6 they 'tried' to make failed so I guess the 8x8 would fail more... I suppose Odd cubes are easier to make

  • WOULD THAT BE better than a rubiks 5x5

  • Yes.

  • is the company of these knock off cubes yong jun?

  • I'm not sure... I purchased them in Hong Kong

  • Comment removed

  • how can they get away with that. everything is exactly the same. Isn't there a copyright in china...

  • Wherein the internet ?

It actually would be great to have a cheap 777 to open endlessly to my CAD project in school

  • ooh damnit i hate when people copy!

  • are they selling the knockoff 5x5, 7x7, and (soon to come) 9x9 on a website? I don't live in hong kong, but would like to get my hands on those.

  • lol me too

  • Yeah same, it'd be nice to compare them lol

  • w*w*w.hknowstore.c*o*m

  • is that really the website?

  • umm... yes
