Was this the new or old trains? I prefer the old ones, because they were themed. It stops like that when they are running a 3 train operation.

this is not meant to stop because i went on it with my friend for the first time and it got stuck at the lifthill and we thought it was gonna shoot forward or something like that but it just continued after... then i went on a second time and it didn't get stuck and i was totally shocked!

the reason why is because the other train hasnt reached the brakes, block breaks* so they have to stop the train you was on for the other to get past the block breaks then as it did you went...

Good ride, im 12 but i didnt really scream at the start its a bit scary as you dont no wats going on. the only time i screamed was when the bloody photo was taken rofl.

It only stops so they can depart th other train and get the break-run clear for that one. U only stop when they have 3 trains running tho1!!!

I went on this 5 times yesterday and didnt get bored of it... 3 times it did a lifthill stop. it was a brilliant ride but it throwed you around loads it was funny xD

chessington is defintely better than thorpe park

how can u say that? Thorpe park have much more thrilling rides! This is 1 of chessingtons best rides and its really not that gd. there are no twists or loops. Thorpe park have nemesis inferno which is by far better! They also have stealth, collosus, tidal wave! Chessington has some gd rides, but it is more of a kids first theme park sort of place, not a place for thrill seekers.

When i went on this ride years ago when it was new, we really did actully get stuck on the second lift! Men came running up the steps to sort it out haha!

The train is meant to stop on the second lift hill, if the train in the station is delayed slightly getting out of the station. Thats why when the train comes round off the second lift hill you can see the other train going up the first lift hill. It's not a technical problem, Chessington have to do it for health and safety otherwise the trains may collide.

This is mostly only the case if Chessington is using three trains. The sensors detect that an area is occupied and so the second lift hill would slow down and stop if it has to.

i am a vampire maniac and i love it!

id there is a 3rd train then there is one in the station , one on the block brakes so it has to stoop on the 2nd lift hill other wise it would crash into the train waiting to go into the station!!!

TRUST ME it is normal for this to happen however it doesnt happen often, it is only if the ride hosts are working slowly. ( think needs to be 15 sec per train)

they do run three trains on it sometimes, usually only two, they were probably running three on this day, and were getting a disabled guest onto vampire, hence a longer wait in at the station.

I work on the thing, trust me .. it is routine for it to stop on the Second lift if the Attendants on the ride are not working at lightning speeds.
