@Supperhuggyface Yes you can find your ip on your laptop. You must go to your command prompt to do this however. If you are using windows you can get to the command prompt by going searching run, then bring that up and type cmd in it. Once you have cmd up, you want to type "ipconfig" You then scroll down and find where it says "I Pv4 Address." Use that number and it will direct you to your router home.

I have a Belkin N+ router for XBL. I have a strange problem I was hoping you could help me with. When my NAT is showing as strict, I can change it back to open using the DMZ (as shown in your vid) or by opening ports. Hoever, withouit fail, the NAT settings retun to Strict within a day or two. On my xbox ip address it says "gateway - 192.168.0.1" and "IP address - 192.168.0.211" but my belkin router webpage is 192.168.2.1 is this correct? because when i go to do the DMZ its 192.168.2. then obviously its not going to be the same as xbox :/

NAT stand for Network Address Translation. On the Xbox your NAT type will be open. moderate or strict. Im sure someone more technically minded will correct me if I'm wrong but I think the NAT type refers to how easily your router processes information. You want your NAT type to be open for most games.

There are additional steps some belkin users may need to do. Simply opening the DMZ only helps some Belkin users.

A couple of other things Belkin users may need to do:

1. In the "System Settings" tab verify that the UPNP setting is set to "Enable."

2. I would also suggest port-forwarding your Xbox. This can be done in the "Virtual Servers" tab. MS suggests the following ports be open: 88UDP; 3074UDP; 3074 TCP.

So to port forward 88UDP for you Xbox:

1. Select "Virtual Servers" on your routers Main Menu.

2. check the "Enable" box

3. For "Description" input "Xbox"

4. For "Inbound Port" input "88"

5. For "Type" select "UDP"

6. For "Private IP Address" input the IP address assigned to your Xbox (ex. 192.168.2.X)

7. For "Private Port" input "88"

You will do this for 3074UDP and 3074TCP (do them separately). Click "Apply Changes."
