  • PATRON SEATING?????

  • Sweet, this will be done a year before I graduate. I was supposed to graduate in June 2015 but that has been changed to 2014. This Library looks so sick.

  • Interesting how the initials of the new library name is M.I.P....

  • 3:50 "Extened study sessions". Lol drink up kids!

  • Books = smart

    smart = cash

    cash = girls

    girls = sex

    sex = aids

    aids = death

    Books kill.

  • This is going to be sick. It's about time too, Zumberge hasn't been sufficient for Grand Valley for over a decade

  • Looks like major overkill. I don't need an airport mini-mall in my library.

  • This looks visually stunning. This is yet another reason i need to stay at grand valley for grad school. or i will just come and hang out here as a non student because it is so cool looking. Glad they finally decided to take measures in their own hands after the state refused yet again to give their fastest growing university sufficient funding or any aid.

  • @reuniteireland I was thinking about going there a while back but I started a company and now I'm a little too old to go there. Great for girl hunting though. Really top notch poon.

  • This angers me a little, and I know a number of my professors aren't happy with the direction of this library either. The library does not need to be redefined.

  • Do they have pancake mix in there?

  • if only we could get the preachers to give them pancake mix...

  • cant wait til this is finished. my last year yeah

  • Looks amazing.

  • It's going to be called "The MIP" Paha :) I need some confidence.. let's go to the M.I.P.

    Anyway.. sounds like a great idea on paper, let's hope GV can pull it off. Praying it will be done before I graduate !

  • While this idea is nice, there is only a handful of students who will use this space effectively year-round. The rest of the student population will cram into the building during midterms and finals or when they need to print off a document 5 min before their class starts. Let's get real here.

  • @pianochik22 far fewer people use the library for actually checking out books than for other things like studying and doing research on the computers. the reason I go to the library is to have a spot to study, which is exactly what the new library is. you can find virtually all books online now, so it's essentially wasted space to have hundreds of shelves filled with books when you could use the space for something more efficient.

  • @pianochik22 Really? It says in the first two minutes where the library is going to be located. Thanks for looking like an idiot while trying to make your argument. There's no "sacrifice of parking" anywhere. Don't be stupid.

  • I worked at the current library, and I mayyy have to come back to GVSU just to work at this one. Saweeeet!

  • Almost makes me want to go back to GV and get another degree!

  • looks great - cutting edge. i'm also jealous!

  • Oh I'm jealous. Nothing like this when I was there. :(

  • Im very excited. What will the old library be then??

  • I'm jealous this wasn't there when I attended GVSU!

  • Damn! Kirkhoff is gonna be busy when that thing is finished!

  • I'm a little tempted to start failing some classes, just so I'll still be around when this is completed.

  • That will be a great addition to the GVSu campus! Also, that is a really sweet virtual tour vid. Kudos to whoever made it.

  • Looks good! Can't wait.
