Ugh, the Wind Ninjas and Sumos are the biggest trolls in SW. They're much worse in Chronicles, seeing how they constantly keep knocking you off every 2 seconds.

@shabamfuturactorstv You have to play Western army stages in Chapter 4. The most straightforward way is to unlock Fushimi Castle (West) and it will eventually unlock the Osaka (Toyotomi) side. To unlock Fushimi Castle (West) I typically get it after I see Mitsunari's event where he gives you the mended tea cup after beating Oshi Castle (you need to have seen the event that has broken the tea cup first, though).

Just curious, what state do your other characters go into when selecting another character to be active? In that I mean, do those other characters still fight and remain prone to taking damage? Or is gameplay for them suspended while you control your active character?

@irpacynot In a way they act like any other computer controlled ally, but they are still as powerful as when you use them. They could easily take down officers unattended (if you and an ally dog pile an officer its very noticeable), but usually they cannot prevent a guy from escaping them (sometimes they can, just don't rely on it). I don't usually see them take any damage whatsoever, but they do keep calling for help until you heal them.

Yes, it's 99.

I reached level 99 shortly after getting my copy of the game.

Once you reach level 99, your level number turns red, and all your attributes are brought up to a certain level (near max). Now my Hero is 5 stars in attack and 4 stars in defense.
