boy, that first jingle REALLY takes me back. I can't remember what shows specifically ended with that, but it triggers some feeling of being very young. Amazing how music can do that.
I get really freaked out by like the Columbia Tristar intros, I really do not know why. There's probably other people who get scared, too. ESPECIALLY the realllyyy old Tristar movies.
This also happened with Paramount Television. Reruns of "Taxi" on Nick at Nite had the 1987 Paramount TV logo plastered over the Blue Mountain, but the blue mountain music was left intact. And, for some reason, the 1987 logo w/ Blue Mountain music appeared on Nicktoons when they were breifly syndicated in 1994. KTLA Los Angeles was one of stations that carried the Nicktoons.
Also check post-1983/pre-1995 prints of Mannix, as those plaster the Blue Mountain over the Rising Circle and all Split Rectangles, but leaving their respective jingles intact.
And on Terror in the Sky, the CGI Mountain is plastered over the Split Rectangle, but like Mannix, the Split Rectangle music was left intact.
The 2nd one was actually used on "Police Woman" reruns in the 80's. They left the abridged SFH music used for the Pretzel and plastered 80's Torch Lady over the Pretzel.
One time they forgot to plaster the Torch Lady and we actually got to see the Pretzel in it's full glory around 1987 or so.
That's cool the way the music, overlaps the logo. The first logo was Embassy's music, the second was Screen Gems;what was that third logo's music;I don't remember hearing before; It's kinda creepy?
It's not so bad. You should check out the Columbia Logo I uploaded. It's from "The Three Stooges Meet Hercules," complete with a statue of a man with dynamite in his hand.
This would have been 10x cooler if the torch lit the lady's hair on fire.

@Govadina You are correct. Only the audio was changed. The video description explains the purpose.
Morality124 1 year ago
It would have been cool if they made easier music, though.

Are these video captures of the actual mistakes or are they remakes?
supremetaco 3 years ago
These mistakes did happen in real life, but they are impossible to find. The ones I uploaded are recreations.

Cool.

You're right, and it's all plastering's fault!

Most Columbia logos are very un-scary, but with that music, it's very creepy!

Great job, but honestly in my opinion, the Embassy Pictures jingle does NOT suit this logo. The other two jingles, yes.
